First Song About Ferguson Police Execution Of Michael Brown Released: 'His Hands Were In The Air' (Music Video)
In memory of Michael Brown, executed by police Saturday in Ferguson, singer/songwriter David Rovics has written a song that he released Tuesday.
His moving song is titled, His Hands Were In The Air.

“I wrote a song this morning about the police execution of an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Missouri that I imagine most of you have heard about by now,” Rovics said from Portland, Oregon in an email to his thousands of followers.
His Hands Were In The Air is in the YouYube video below.
Although some of Rovics’ work is not self-published, and much of it is commercially distributed, Rovics has made all of his recorded music freely available as downloadable mp3 files. He encourages the free distribution of his work by all non-profit means to promote his work and spread political messages, and speaks out against websites or programs like iTunes that charge money for downloading his songs.
Rovics has also advocated the performing of his songs at protests and demonstrations and has made his sheet music and lyrics available for download.
His “Gaza” is now subtitled in 15 different languages. (Click where it says “cc” and choose a language.)
Rovics is accepting bookings on his fall tour of North America and welcomes people to contact him should they be interested in organizing a gig.

Good to see the activism. If confiscated video of this murder exists, that will change the entire nature of this event. I don’t know what happened to this kid, but I’ve got significant quantities of fubar, dirty cops nearby so it would be easy for me to believe the worst in this case.
Interesting enough, we’ve got a meth cooker/seller living less than a mile away that is actually selling meth to people out in the open by the side of the road. The police have been told about this guy by at least 4 different people over several years. Some people believe this joker is working for the cops and it’s why he is never touched. That would not surprise me either.
