Nice. I’m sure they’ll be glad to here that. I’ve been listening for about 10 months now and being a student of the audio arts myself I’ve been more than impressed at the quality and quantity of really good music that people are capable of without a high-priced studio and a big-name record label. The world’s music has been modified and controlled by the same mainstream outlets that have control of our news and radio stations. It’s time for that to change. Music from these artists need to be heard without being censored or subject to corporate favoritism. Hopefully this will be the beginning to a whole new way to listen to good music without annoying commercials and without the controlling mechanisms we’ve all been subjected to. Some of the artists even allow you to download their work for free. There is even a real-time chat room where a lot of the artists hang out and sometimes the station admins can be found there, who are artists themselves.
From what I understand this station is completely non-profit and depends on donations and other modest sources to cover their operating costs.
