The Strange Case of World Net Daily and the Obama Birth Certificate

Free-Market Analysis: The big news is that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has claimed that the Obama birth certificate is a fake.

The fine print tells us that World Net Daily has pursued this story to an inexorable conclusion that President Barack Obama is not exactly whom he seems to be. This would be less important were he not among the highest powers in the land.

World Net Daily certainly deserves journalistic honors for its dogged pursuit of the truth. On the other hand, World Net Daily is something of a strange beast when it comes to alternative journalism. More on that in a minute.

Back to the revelations about Obama’s persona. Sheriff Joe’s announcement was in a sense predictable since anyone examining the background of President Barack Obama might conclude that he is not what he seems to be.

One hypothesis is that he is a direct or indirect product of elite Intel agencies that want their trained and controlled agents operating at the highest levels of power. While this sounds far-fetched, Obama has basically embargoed every part of his history, including even his kindergarten records apparently.

The scandal of the Obama presidency as much as anything is that the bought-and-paid-for mainstream media has never reported on the extent of the Obama cover-up.

Nor have they put the factual errors in his two autobiographies into context.

Nor his strange statements as a young man that he would someday be president.

Nor fully investigated his genealogy.

Nor properly investigated Hawaii’s governmental process when it comes to allowing people to claim birth-citizenship for their children. (The sheriff did investigate this last area among others and discovered that the processes are lax indeed.) Here’s some more from the article:

Arpaio told WND he intends to move the investigation and the new information to a higher authority within the federal government because of what he calls an imminent threat to national security and U.S. immigration laws. The threat is posed by a flaw in Hawaii’s law discovered by his investigators that allows a foreigner to obtain a Hawaii birth certificate.

“Although I am having a difficult time deciding who to forward this information to given the fact that the obvious choices report directly to the president, I cannot stand by and hold on to information that threatens to weaken national security,” Arpaio said. Arpaio said he intends on keeping a case file open if more information surfaces or if federal authorities decide to ignore the case.

Under Hawaii Revised Statute 338-17.8, a person only has to be an established resident of Hawaii, not necessarily a U.S. citizen, and pay taxes there for one year to be able to register an out-of-state or foreign-born person with an official Hawaii birth certificate. “If a nation’s security is only as strong as its weakest link, then America may be in serious trouble,” Arpaio said in a statement. “Hawaii may be our weakest link and could have a serious impact on our nation’s immigration policy.”

Among the new findings presented by lead Cold Case Posse investigator Mike Zullo:

• The sheriff’s investigators have learned of a birth certificate coding system that indicates the White House document has been altered.

• An interview with the Hawaii official who allegedly signed the Obama document in 1961, Verna K.L. Lee, provided further confirmation of the coding anomalies.

• Investigators were troubled to find key information missing on the verification document Hawaii provided to Arizona’s secretary of state in May.

• Hawaii’s deputy attorney general, Jill T. Nagamine, confirm the state has a birth document on file for Obama. But she would not confirm on the record that the White House document matched what was on file with the Hawaii Department of Health.

• The sheriff’s investigators interviewed three persons of interest who have provided additional information in the case.

• In prepared opening remarks, Arpaio chastised the media for the way it has handled the investigation. ”You have demeaned this investigation at every turn as silly and wasteful,” he said. “Your contempt about the subject and me for pursuing it has been duly noted.”

The mainstream media in aggregate deserves to be chastised, but it won’t make much difference. The power elite that apparently runs the central banks of the world also apparently controls the Western mainstream media, which is why Obama can be elected to high office while hiding his background.

There is more to it than that, however. In times of high corruption as in the present day, there is inevitably a good deal of cognitive dissonance.

Another issue is World Net Daily itself, which is a strange amalgamation of fundamentalist Christian virtues and freedom-oriented reporting. The US$ 4 million-plus start-up money came from a variety of sources, including those with an affiliation to the Heritage Foundation and powerful conservative groups.

The funding for WND thus comes, at the end of the day, from the same power elite that basically placed Barack Obama in his seat of power.

This is analogous to the way the top elites organize wars, controlling both sides. This sort of directed history has always played out – for thousands of years. But it is currently at the apogee of its influence and manipulation, thanks to a relatively free hand in the 20th century.

Conclusion: But the 20th century is not the 21st – and the current manipulations may not serve the power elite as well as they did in the previous century. It is one thing to perform such manipulations in secret; it is another to provide them under the scrutiny of a facility such as the Internet.
