Massive, Illegal Geoengineering Project Discovered Off Canadian West Coast

A massive and illegal geoengineering project has been detected off Canada’s west coast

A private company backed by a controversial U.S. businessman has unilaterally conducted the world’s most significant geoengineering project to date. Russ George, in conjunction with a First Nations village on Haida Gwaii, has dumped around 100 tonnes of iron sulphate into the Pacific Ocean in a technique known as ocean fertilization. The experiment, which is in violation of two United Nations moratoria, has outraged environmental, legal, and civic groups.

The iron sulphate was dumped into the Pacific back in July, but recent satellite images are now confirming its effects — an artificial plankton bloom that’s 10,000 square kilometers (3,861 square miles) in size. The intention of the project is for the plankton to absorb carbon dioxide and then sink to the bottom of the ocean. George is hoping to cash in on lucrative carbon credits.

To make the project happen, George convinced the local council of an indigenous village to establish the Haida Salmon Restoration Corporation. He told them that the project would restore salmon populations, leading the First Nations people to channel more than $1m of its own money into the project.

Critics say it is a “blatant violation” of United Nations rules, and the matter is currently under investigation by Environment Canada. Experts contend that the project violates the UN’s convention on biological diversity (CBD) and London convention on the dumping of wastes at sea, which both prohibit for-profit ocean fertilisation activities. According to the Guardian, the news publication that broke the story, George claims that the two moratoria are a “mythology” and do not apply to his project. The Guardian reports:

George is the former chief executive of Planktos Inc, whose previous failed efforts to conduct large-scale commercial dumps near the Galapagos and Canary Islands led to his vessels being barred from ports by the Spanish and Ecuadorean governments. The US Environmental Protection Agency warned him that flying a US flag for his Galapagos project would violate US laws, and his activities are credited in part to the passing of international moratoria at the United Nations limiting ocean fertilisation experiments

Scientists are debating whether iron fertilisation can lock carbon into the deep ocean over the long term, and have raised concerns that it can irreparably harm ocean ecosystems, produce toxic tides and lifeless waters, and worsen ocean acidification and global warming.

“It is difficult if not impossible to detect and describe important effects that we know might occur months or years later,” said John Cullen , an oceanographer at Dalhousie University. “Some possible effects, such as deep-water oxygen depletion and alteration of distant food webs, should rule out ocean manipulation. History is full of examples of ecological manipulations that backfired.”

George says his team of unidentified scientists has been monitoring the results of the biggest ever geoengineering experiment with equipment loaned from US agencies like NASA and the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration. He told the Guardian that it is the “most substantial ocean restoration project in history,” and has collected a “greater density and depth of scientific data than ever before”.

“We’ve gathered data targeting all the possible fears that have been raised [about ocean fertilisation],” George said. “And the news is good news, all around, for the planet.”

UN officials will be meeting in Hyderabad, India, later this week to discuss the issue, including possible upgrades to enforcement policies.

And as Silvia Ribeiro of the watchdog ETC Group has noted, “If rogue geoengineer Russ George really has misled this indigenous community, and dumped iron into their waters, we hope to see swift legal response to his behavior and strong action taken to the heights of the Canadian and US governments.” Read more.

Who needs the oceans; dump mine tailings, flush out oil tankers,, go with cheap oil blowout devices to save money—who cares about killing the ocean—’tis just a bunch of saltwater anyhow.

This machination has very serious consequences. We should all be very alarmed.

I need a chemists help to explain myself. I only think I know everything. Iron sulphate is a by product of Steel production. I’ll repeat that………..

…………..IRON SULPHATE IS A BY PRODUCT OF STEEL PRODUCTION!…………….

The words ferrous and sulfate are interchangeable as you wish. Now any chemists turned up yet? Combine FeSO4 and H2O with a electrolyte, say, NaCl. Done that? Now what is one of the juices that I could centyfooge or disstilde from that concoction? H2SO4? I don’t even need the salt do I?

      ……………………….CAN ANYONE SAY SULPHURIC ACID!……………………

 Time to wake the “F” up sheeple.

ps, who looked up ‘machination’? Cunning plan that to get steel mill waste declared an ocean fertilizer eh? In spite of UN protest??? I’m not normally big on the UN myself but I’ll switch sides for a moment as it suits. Thanks to the 4 people that will read this.

How much for the last fish?

CAN ANY ONE SAY ACID RAIN?

Can anyone tear themselves away from the gratuitous threads let alone their TV’s? None of the 1000 visitors, to this thread, have anything to add?

Read the shooter threads even though guns won’t ever achieve a mass extinction event. Freak yourselves out about an imaginary rogue planet and the chance that it may collide with us.

Bury your heads in the sand but it’s not going to be alright at this rate. This insanity goes on before our eyes yet I’m all alone here. Meanwhile an interplanetary collision would be a blessing compared to 7 billion starving to death.

I saw the people trample the elderly and weak underfoot during the Haiti disaster I know that collectively we lack the courage to be even modestly decent. I also know that we don’t care so long as our immediate wants are satisfied. Sometimes I hate us.

Well I had to look it up
Found 3 sources of which all say the same thing so I’ll only mention Wikipedia and that is where I stopped searching.

So it seems that making Sulfuric Acid takes about 400 degrees F to make from iron sulfate.
And Iron or Ferris Sulfate is a byproduct of that.
You can make H2SO4 by heating battery acid purchased from an auto parts store. Heating it removes the water from the purchased 35% grade increasing the percentage to a greater %.
Either way it seems to require more heat than is feasible in the Ocean.
Not to mention it seems the abundance of Ocean water would pretty quickly dilute any resulting H2SO4.

      • Mayhem

Absolutely whitebear however, It’s not quite accurate to use the term “making” when you are really implying concentrating. I am of the opinion that cold manufacture of H2SO4 can achieve almost 80% purity.

Excuse me over explaining but I don’t post for you alone, whitebear, your heating battery acid postulation indicates that you might have just slipped up and used the incorrect term inadvertently. I did allude in an attempted quaint way that, clearly, distillation and or centrifuging would be required to make melting skin strength acid. I do not agree, though, that it would require anything like the temperature you suggest. You then argue that iron sulphate is a by-product of sulphuric acid production? FeSO4 is an ingredient surely.

Just because it disperses or dilutes if you prefer, quickly, in no way diminishes the amount of sulphuric acid that will have been produced by the dumping of 100 tonnes of iron sulphate into the sea.

I believe my original premise remains intact but I would be very interested in your thoughts or those from better qualified than myself.

        • Mayhem

Oops I see that gave your temp in Fahrenheit and I presumed Celsius as that is the scale I am most familiar with. Yes 204 Deg C is likely the minimum temperature to distill diluted sulphuric acid solution in order to concentrate it but as I argued not for to make it. I think this small error does in no way diminish my position in any significant manner.

        • Mayhem

… and since I’m talking to myself it is fortunate that I indeed do like the sound of my own voice. I might be the only person who thinks this but I have never let that remote possibility hinder me in my pursuit for knowledge and Truth. I find it intriguing that I came to Faith through a quest for knowledge. My personal epiphany came about when I realised I had crossed off so many lies that only Truth remained.

Nothing personal, whitebear, but I found your last, and seemingly final, sentence on this topic to be the most offensive. How does that statement make pollution any thing less than the stupidest thing man does to the only ecosystem that can sustain him?

          …………………………………PEOPLE………………………….

WE ONLY HAVE ONE ECOSYSTEM CAPABLE OF SUSTAINING US.

          …………………………… LOOK AFTER IT…………………………

          …………………… FOR THE CHILDREN,S SAKE…………………….

        • Mayhem

Oops give me back that , and here’s an ‘

          Don’t get me started on….

Anthropogenic Global warming or, it’s partner in crime, Climate change.
Vaccinations as some of you will have seen.
Chemotherapy which I hope never to have to do.
          Glorification of violence in Society.
          Coil, Oil, or Fertlizer.

          Just don’t.

ps Not to mention how very many common words mean nothing like the context we use them in. Some of them not even close. eg…

          Economy means family unit.
Lawyer means to lie for money.
You are not the ‘Owner’ of your house even if it is freehold.
You have no rights only privileges.

I get many many many words each day and I am commanded to direct them toward Truth.

ps these lists are not exhaustive. I have an opinion on EVERYTHING.

        • whitebear

          Not my words Dear Heart.
          Look it up.
Heating battery acid isn’t postulation. You might do some more research.
