Every time I look at the title, ‘The Day They Bombed the Hell Out of Los Angeles,’ I get a chill.
What is really cool is that I work with the author. He goes by the pseudonym of ‘Crackerjack,’ and he is a featured contributor at Before It’s News. And, he is also the owner of The Daily Neutron.
And, perk of the job, since I work for him…I get to read his novels before he publishes them!
It’s funny, he tells me, ‘write the truth…if I write a clinker, tell the world.’ And, I’ll be honest, not all of his novels get to me. This one did, however.
This one knocked my socks off, took them to the laundromat, and picked them up again!
First, it is styled after the Boston Bombing, so it is well researched. It even takes a look at other events, like Ruby Ridge and the Oklahoma City bombing!
What is really nifty is that he fixes the mistakes that the Boston Bombers made! So you not only get a view of the actual bombing, but you get it in a smart way. Scary, when you think about it, and I am glad as hell he decided to novelize the thing instead of go terrorist himself!
But I guess the point I am making is that if you understand what is happening with things like the Boston Bombings, and other terrorist attacks, then you know how to look at people, to see if they are a danger, and you are just better prepared yourself.
The thing is…Al really gets into the minds of bomber types. I mean, WTF is going on in the minds of these mass murderers? How can they logically live with themselves?
But when Al writes he lays out the lives of the murderers so you can see what influence religion has, what effect education has on them, what other influences are moving them, and how they get nudged into a road of crime.
Nudged, and then galloped down a freeway.
I mean, this book doesn’t just have the bits and pieces of good research, it has violence like you wouldn’t believe! From the first gunshot to the last, uh…big boom, this story of terrorism gone amok has it all!
I shouldn’t tell you that, I guess, the granny types will start a petition against Al. Oh, well. He said I could write what I wanted.
Anyway, I don’t know if it will be your cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the Hell out of…‘The Day They Bombed the Hell Out of Los Angeles!’ Check it out at Kindle/Amazon and see if you might like it.
