Come and listen to a story about a man named George
A night watchman with the volunteer urge
then one day he was walking through his town
and out from the shadows came a man with a frown

a boy that is, in a hoodie, who he didn’t know

Well the first thing you know old George is on the ground
Trayvon’s on his chest doing ground and pound
said you’re a cracker and dead you oughta be
tried to smack his head just to watch him bleed

Kill him that is, like dead, like gone.

Trayvon slammed his head and broke old George’s nose
Then he saw a gun hidden in his clothes
He went for the gun but George got there first
George is now alive and Trayvon’s in a hearse.

Dead, that is. The pearly gates. The heavenly choir.

The police came along but they let Georgie loose
said there wasn’t cause to string him by a noose
Then some preachers heard about the fight
they came south and started to incite

rabble rouse, stir things up, cause trouble

Al and Jesse held a rally and said it was a crime,
said Zimmerman oughta do some real hard time.
said he was a racist should be hung from a tree
or at least put in jail for eternity

like a long time, rest of his life, gone.

So poor old George was charged and brought to trial
he stood his ground and stated his denial
when the air cleared and the verdict was brought in
Georgie was set free to the racists chagrin

Al didn’t like it, nor Jesse either, not at all

The moral of the story has to do with mankind
stopped shouting race and stop being blind
listen to the facts and keep a level head
or we’ll have a war where everybody’s dead

murdered that is, real death, gone
