The Dark Side of God: Theology And Terrorism In The Modern World From The Hostage Crisis To The Arab Spring

As pointed out in the articles above, the American-Iranian hostage crisis was a covert, deep state operation, not the result of revolutionary mob action.

Iranian researcher Fara Mansoor revealed on Dave Emory’s radio talk show in January 1993 that American intelligence officials who were deeply connected with the Reagan-Bush presidential campaign office coordinated with their Iranian counterparts to stage the hostage crisis. They did this to achieve several objectives, but, mainly, 1) galvanize the Iranian public around Khomeini’s revolutionary Shiite government at a time of national crisis and confusion, and 2) portray President Jimmy Carter as an impotent president and a weakling in the eyes of the American people who can’t stand up to the Ayatollahs.

The strategy worked successfully for both sides. Khomeini came out of the crisis looking like an uncompromising and defiant revolutionary, and Regan was viewed as the white knight who saved the day. Wow, what a great fairy tale to tell the children on Christmas morning! But the truth is that both Reagan and Khomeini destroyed their nations; one by religion, war, and fanaticism, and the other by selling it out to corporations and banksters. 

The Shah and Carter were both victims of this conspiracy. President Carter was in the CIA’s crosshairs after he fired hundreds of CIA officials. Journalist Robert Parry said in an article in June 2010 that history must confront the fact that, “disgruntled elements of the CIA and Israel’s Likud hardliners teamed up to remove a U.S. president from office.”

Mansoor mentioned in his interview with Emory that rogue Iranian revolutionary students had stormed the American embassy a couple of times in the months leading up to the famous hostage taking on November 4, 1979 that lasted 444 days, but they were stopped by the Iranian government from harming American diplomats and kidnapping them.

This is an important point because it shows that Khomeini’s government was not interested in kidnapping American diplomats without the secret consent of high-level American CIA officials. It is impossible to believe that both Khomeini’s government and the American government would submit to the will of a revolutionary mob on the day of November 4, 1979 and let events run their course without their input.

The whole operation was clearly planned and run from the top in both governments. They tricked their nations and screwed with the minds of the people by using terrorism and religion.

The Muslim Brotherhood is using the same techniques in Egypt, and elsewhere in the Arab world. They are relying on terrorism and theology to win hearts and terrify minds. They are portraying the popular coup of June 30 that was backed by many millions of Egyptians as an attack on Islam.

Unsurprisingly, the duplicitous, discredited, and murderous Western press is going along with this twisted and false narrative, saying that democracy is under attack in Egypt when in reality democracy was coming under attack the moment Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood took power.
