20Ft Monster Crocodile Stalks, Traps Man 2 Weeks

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A 20-foot “monster” crocodile stalked a man on a relote island off the western coast of Australia, trapping the New Zealand man two weeks, and chasing a man each time he tried to help the trapped tourist.

Left on the remote Governor Island to explore it, when the Kiwi realised he did not have enough supplies, he attempted paddling the four kilometres or so back to the mainland.

He immediately caught the eye of the 20-foot saltwater crocodile.

Every time the toruist tried to leave, the crocodile made his presence known, leaving the adventurer stranded for two weeks.

Aussie rescues Kiwi from crocodile monster

The flashlight of the standed New Zealander and the goodwill of an Aussie saved the man.

The New Zeland tourist flashed his flashlight to attract attention.

The tourist owes his survival to Don McLeod, a local who noticed the light when he was out in his small kayak. He also has a boat.

McLeod said this weekend that each time he got in his little kayak, only about 2.5m (8ft) long, the crocodile, that has lived there many years and is a monster, chased him.

He knows the croc is 20 feet long because he’d seen it before when he was in his boat and the monster was a long as his boat.

McLeod found the two-week stranded and distraught man, ‘relieved and shocked.’

“He was relieved and shocked and thankful someone had come along because he was running out of options pretty quickly,” McLeod said. “He was desperate for water when I trotted up.

“He is a very, very lucky man.”

In 2011, the Guinness Book of World Records listed a 17.97-foot-long, an Australian-caught saltwater crocodile, as the largest in captivity.

This year, the world’s largest saltwater crocodile in captivity died in the Philippines, sending villagers to tears. The monster benefited the villagers due to attention it received from the giant.

Guinness World Records proclaimed that monster reptile, blamed for deadly attacks before captured in 2011, the largest saltwater crocodile in captivity. It measured 6.17 metres (20.24 feet). That monster had taken the top spot from the Australian crocodile that measured over 17 feet and weighed nearly a ton.
