[...] The water contained strontium and tritium and was emitting beta-ray radiation of 580,000 becquerels per liter, according to Tepco, which was apparently trying to drain rainwater from the flood containment area into the tanks during the typhoon. goes to show that ‘the powers that be’ wanted this an is letting this fester, fume, an seep..the mass die-off is upon us..
They just don’t know what to do about it. Even things like the ground being soft prevents the use of heavy equipment, just trying to remove the spent fuel rods so perilous and asking for a worse disaster, no room for mistakes. In the meantime? All they can do is try to keep the rods under water, in leaking vessels: at this point, everything they’re doing is like a finger in the dike. I don’t think they have any idea what to do that has some assurance of making things better, at least haven’t heard any scientist speak up with a bright idea yet.
