Neuro Linguistic Programming What the Obama hypnosis!

The question keeps coming up. How does Obama continuously lie to so many people, and persist with the racial divide and keep getting away with it? Maybe it has nothing to do with the koolaid, but it has to do with the human brain. What if Barack Obama is truly a master? Master orator, speaker, eulogy writer, but how about a master hypnotist? Is it possible that Barack Obama is using the technique of NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming to undermine the conscuious of the non informed? With all the similarities lining up between Obama and Hitler, it has crossed my mind. Amongst some other irrational thoughts, unless of course Barack Obama is America’s Adolf Hitler, and the use of NLP is how he will accomplish this.

Just keep in mind they all campaigned on “change” with a similar message of “Forward”.

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming, and how and when is this process used to promote alterior motives? First of all, NLP is based on a study of how the human brain functions, this is not a method used to diagnose problems, it is a technique that is applied, and therefore can only be taught through experimental processes. Because this technique must be applied, and is taught by way of experience, the methods used are constantly being updated and modernized.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is defined as the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that and is predicated upon the belief that all behaviour has structure.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming was specifically created in order to allow us to do magic by creating new ways of understanding how verbal and non-verbal communication affect the human brain. As such it presents us all with the opportunity to not only communicate better with others, but also learn how to gain more control over what we considered to be automatic functions of our own neurology.

The term Neuro Linguistic Programming refers to three specific concepts. The first is the word neuro, which is refererence to the brain, and the capability of the brain and the neural network of cells to communicate and send and recieve information pertaining to data signals collected that is stored in the brain for later use, this sending and recieving of signals eventually adds up to information stored in the nervous system that is communicated to the brain.

Linguistic refers to the content of the data that moves in between these paths either verbally or non verbally.

Programming is the way the content is manipulated before it is converted into information. Because of the concept of Programming, it allows the brain to direct the signal either through directing the signal, obtaining the signal in sequential order, or using the signal in conjunction with previously stored experiences to convert that information. These previously stored experiences are usually the experiences that have shaped our thinking patterns, and are the basic essence of our experience of daily life.

NLP was developed in the 1970′s in Santa Cruz, California. It was developed by scientists John Grinder, and Richard Bandler. These two men concluded in theory that the brain can learn the healthy patterns and behaviors and that this would bring about positive physical and emotional effects. This study later became known as Neuro Linguistic Programming.

The basic premise of NLP is that the words we use reflect an inner, subconscious perception of our problems. If these words and perceptions are inaccurate, they will create an underlying problem as long as we continue to use and to think them. Our attitudes are, in a sense, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

NLP was said to promote wellness, by analyzing every aspect and detail of an individuals thoughts, reactions, body language, facial expressions, etcetera. The therapist will then assist you in remolding your thoughts, and other mental associations to address previously conceived “notions”. The concept that you can convince yourself that something has no relevance in your life must be met with a decent amount of programming in order to eventually believe something does not in reality matter.

How Does Neuro Linguistic Programming Work?

NLP uses self image and attitude towards illness to effect change and to promote healing. The supposed premise for the theory of NLP came from HOPE. It came also from the belief that you get what you ask for, and to project negative thoughts in your mind will become manifested in your physical world. This theory exists in the metaphysical world, as well as the religious realm.

Presuppostions

NLP makes a number of presuppositions. Presuppositions or assumptions are the beliefs a person will find useful in effecting changes to themselves and/or to the world. (also referred to by some as”givens”.)

Examples of presuppositions:

1. Communication is in more than the spoken work
2. No one is wrong. People work together to accomplish what they already are accomplishing
3. People have all the resources needed
4. Behind all behaviors lies positive intent
5. Every behavior display is useful in some context or another
6. The meaning of communication is the response recieved
7. If you aren’t getting the response your looking for try another approach
8. Failure is non existent, there is only feedback
9. Having any choice is better than having no choice at all
10. In any system the “element” with the most flexibility has the most influence
11. The map does not mark the territory
12. If someone can do something it can be learned by anyone
13. It is impossible to fail to communicate

These 5 terms are the actual terms in relation to your 5 senses, and they serve as the models for NLP.

• Auditory (sounds)
• Kinesthetic (touch and internal feelings)
• Gustatory (tastes)
• Olfactory (smells)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a movement which teaches that people are only able to perceive a small part of the world using their senses, and that this view of the world is filtered by experience, beliefs, values, assumptions, and biological sensory systems. NLP argues that people act and feel based on their perception of the world rather than the real world.

The different types of models represent the techniques use and ability to transmit information recieved, as well as how to transmit the information. The systematic use of “words” or symantecs is applied to conjure specific results, and reactions from the humans the processes are used on.

Milton model

The Milton model is a form of hypnotherapy based on the language patterns for hypnotic communication of Milton Erickson, a noted hypnotherapist.^[7] It has been described as “a way of using language to induce and maintain trance in order to contact the hidden resources of our personality”.^[8] The Milton model has three primary aspects: Firstly, to assist in building and maintaining rapport with the client. Secondly, to overload and distract the conscious mind so that unconscious communication can be cultivated. Thirdly, to allow for interpretation in the words offered to the client.^[9]

1. Rapport

The first aspect, building rapport, or empathy, is done to achieve better communication and responsiveness. NLP teaches ‘mirroring’ or matching body language, posture, breathing, predicates and voice tonality. Rapport is an aspect of ‘pacing’ or tuning into the client or learners world. Once pacing is established, the practitioner can ‘lead’ by changing their behavior or perception so the other follows. O’Connor & Seymour in “Introducing NLP” describe rapport as a ‘harmonious dance’, an extension of natural skills, but warn against mimicry.^[8] Singer gives examples of the pantomime effect of mere mimicry by some practitioners which does not create rapport.^[10]

2. Overloading conscious attention

The second aspect of the milton model is that it uses ambiguity in language and non-verbal communication. This might also be combined with vagueness, which arises when the boundaries of meaning are indistinct. The use of ambiguity and vagueness distracts the conscious mind as it tries to work out what is meant which gives the unconscious mind the opportunity to prosper.

3. Indirect communication

The third aspect of the Milton model is that it is purposely vague and metaphoric for the purpose of accessing the unconscious mind. It is used to soften the meta model and make indirect suggestions.^[11] A direct suggestion merely states what is wanted, for example, “when you are in front of the audience you will not feel nervous”. In contrast an indirect suggestion is less authoritative and leaves an opportunity for interpretation, for example, “When you are in front of the audience, you might find yourself feeling ever more confident”. This example follows the indirect method leaving both the specific time and level of self-confidence unspecified. It might be made even more indirect by saying, “when you come to a decision to speak in public, you may find it appealing how your feelings have changed.” The choice of speaking in front of the audience, the exact time and the likely responses to the whole process are framed but the imprecise language gives the client the opportunity to fill in the finer details.^[12]

Understanding the concept of NLP, it is not hard for one to imagine this technology, or theorum falling into the hands of someone or an entity that intends to use this system for malicious purposes. This system is intended to empower an individual through communicating with the subconscious, but it is apparently used in multiple venues, such as the media. movies, and music.

State management

Sometimes called state control, is a neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) technique involving actively trying to control the emotional and mental state of an individual. One method to actively achieve state management anchoring where an individual associates a particular physical stimulus. It is used as both a self-help method and a therapeutic hypnotherapy technique

The good news, is that one can be affective in the use of NLP to promote positive and good vibrations but the sad part, is it can be used to promote negativity, and other forms of harm to the human brain. One simple example of an application of NLP is the task of spelling English words.

So now we understand the basic premise of NLP, which if I am interpreting this concept accurately, the perception can be interpreted as one using mind over matter. In other words, what you say in your subconscious, what you dream can be applied to daily life. If you believe in something, as the Bible claims ye shall recieve, and the same as the concept ” be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it.”

The application of NLP is now being used to promote violence, racism, homosexuality, amongst a host of other mental dispositions. Negative words also impact those who hear them. People who are constantly surrounded by negative people will often fall prey to their negative speak. Words of discouragement will usually cause a person to take on a defeatist attitude. This makes it more likely that the individual will give up before even trying. Another thing to consider is how your own words might be causing you to remain stagnant in certain life areas. If you are trying to produce change in certain patterns or behaviors, you have to be careful about how you are talking about these things. Your brain will believe an act upon the very words that you speak.

NLP can be likened to Social Engineering, which has been documented for quite some time. The fact alone, that this concept can be coupled with the biblical explanation in the Book of Ezekiel that explains, if you want something bad enough, pray and ye shall recieve.

While social engineering can be carried out by any organization – whether large or small, public or private – the most comprehensive (and often the most effective) campaigns of social engineering are those initiated by powerful central governments.The process of Social Engineering is relatively young in comparison to the existence of society. The use was applied by the Soviet Union Government in the 1920′s to “fundamentally transform” the traditional behavior and ideals of its citizens. The Tsarist Russia was transformed as a result of the Soviets using Newspapers, Books, Movies, Mass Relocations, and even Architectural Design to mold the Russian into a “Soviet Man.” The Chinese adopted this theory with the “Great Leap Forward”, which sounds eeriliy similar to “Forward.” The Government’s housing policies in Singapore have adopted this technique on a smaller scale, in an effort to cohese the multi races that reside in the Government Subsidized housing, and The United States has been using it in its advocacy for the “War on Drugs”, bottom line NLP has been in use, and useful as a method to generate war within a country, to advert or distract from the underlying conflict.

The campaign for promoting elections, which is by far the most successful of the three examples, has been in place for over two centuries. Social theorists of the Frankfurt School in Weimar Germany like Theodor Adorno had also observed the new phenomenon of mass culture and commented on its new manipulative power, when the rise of the Nazis drove them out of the country around 1930 (many of them became connected with the Institute for Social Research in the United States). The Nazis themselves were no strangers to the idea of influencing political attitudes and re-defining personal relationships. The Nazi propaganda machine under Joseph Goebbels was a synchronized, sophisticated and effective tool for creating public opinion.

Karl Popper

In his classic political science book, The Open Society and Its Enemies, volume I, The Spell of Plato, Karl Popper examined the application of the critical and rational methods of science to the problems of the open society. In this respect, he made a crucial distinction between the principles of democratic social reconstruction (called ‘piecemeal social engineering’) and ‘Utopian social engineering’

Popper wrote:

 the piecemeal engineer will adopt the method of searching for, and fighting against, the greatest and most urgent evil of society, rather than searching for, and fighting for, its greatest ultimate good.

According to Popper, the difference between ‘piecemeal social engineering’ and ‘Utopian social engineering’ is:the difference between a reasonable method of improving the lot of man, and a method which, if really tried, may easily lead to an intolerable increase in human suffering. It is the difference between a method which can be applied at any moment, and a method whose advocacy may easily become a means of continually postponing action until a later date, when conditions are more favorable. And it is also the difference between the only method of improving matters which has so far been really successful, at any time, and in any place, and a method which, wherever it has been tried, has led only to the use of violence in place of reason, and if not to its own abandonment, at any rate to that of its original blueprint.

So the question is if NLP can be used for positive or negative, how does one defeat the techniques applied to humans daily through the propaganda machine that is compelling your thougts and emotions in an indirect manner. The concept is pretty basic, in fact so basic that it has been used in Biblical explanations for quite some time, but the use of this technique is broad, and it is being used for destructive purposes. You can review the uses of NLP then make your own self determination using the information provided, and cross referencing the links to draw your own conclusions about the far reaching uses of NLP. It is the basic concept of communication, and it is the complex idea that is used in the pretense of mind control. If it can be used to promote health and wellness, as well as a self cure for phobias, how could it not be used to influence our mental capacity when watching television shows, or the propaganda that the media classifies as news? It is only news, when it has truth and fact to it. It is not news when someone is using it as a platform to influence our decisions, and the way something we hear makes us feel.
