Mystery Illness

A mysterious illness has Texas health officials worried after half of those infected died from the unidentified disease.

Some thoughts are that this illness may be caused by a micro plasmic fungus, perhaps transferred through contaminated wheat and or poultry.  Fungal experts asset that there has been an unprecedented high number of contaminated food products due to the large volume of precipitation across the mid west states.  

Cattle get deathly ill from consuming bacterially infected grain so ranchers generally reject contaminated feed.  This leaves an abundance of grain for sale at discounts to other food producers.  Inevitably, this contaminated grain ends up in consumer goods like bread and cereals.  Ironically, what is not fit for cattle consumption ends up as  a staple in human edible goods.  

The Montgomery County Health Department said eight patients had presented with flu-like symptoms or pneumonia-like symptoms. Of the eight infected, four have died. Despite their symptoms, none have yet tested positive for the flu, officials said in a statement.
