If Stuart wanted to bail, it’s because he knew they were going to strike! He knew they were going to die! He must have a serious informant who must have some serious inside knowledge! Rhodes (and Mack as well) fell for disinfo/psyop at best, and at worst, are active shills. Either way, they are persona non grata at Bundy Ranch. Let the damage control begin. OathKeepers have clearly lost sight of the principles that made them attractive initially, now they are so crippled being politically correct that they continue to alienate their own members because they want to protect their image, and BUSINESS MODEL/cash cow, which is attracting memberships.

I don’t know Rhodes version of the story, but I assume that he trusts his insider to the point where he thought they needed to evacuate the ranch, but everyone else wanted to hold their position even if it meant ending up dead! Which is stupid! In war if you know the enemy is going to bomb you, do you say bombs away, or do you get out of the way to fight another day!
It was incredibly stupid to front page this! Stewart was responsible for most of the support and coverage they are getting! Now they just look like a bunch of fools who stood there waiting to die! The name Stewart Rhodes and The Oathkeepers has brought an instant stink to my nostrils ever since I first encountered their irresponsible, dual-faced attitudes in 2006. I was in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and they wanted to hold a convention, and they had requested to use the grounds of Miracle Valley Bible College, since defunct, but then headed up by Dr. Melvin Harter. Dr. Harter had not known much of anything about the group, but he just felt it was the right thing to offer the campus for the use of some patriotic Americans.
Dr. Harter was well-intentioned, but naive about the explosive environment he was going to have to live with afterwards. I myself didn’t arrive on the scene to work with Dr. Harter until several months after the event. Well, the Oathkeepers had their meeting, and the repercussions for Dr. Harter and the College were horrendous, as a pending zoning matter was then denied Dr. Harter for purely political reasons by the municipality of Sierra Vista. Thousands of dollars of legal bills were spent by Dr. Harter in an attempt to get an appeal. The Bible College was forbidden to operate as a school. Period. That was the beginning of the end.
Stewart Rhodes and the Oathkeepers, however, had known full well that there would be a powerful backlash in the community from their convention. They never warned Dr. Harter. And after the disaster, they never contacted him to apologize or to continue towards his legal expenses.
Think about it.
Therefore, the Us-First attitude, and let everybody else pick up the pieces, or pick up the bodies, in the case of the Bundy operation, is no surprise to me at all.
