Introducing My Friend Sylvia of "SHABBY CHIC" Furniture Design

My friend Sylvia and her home in Florida.

I have decided it is important to take the time to introduce my readers to my friend Sylvia Ferrare, and her husband, Vinnie Albanese of Minneola, Florida. I am visiting in her area for a season, because of her needing my encouragement and support due to financial crisis and serious medical issues with her husband, Vinnie Albanese.

Sylvia (pictured above) is a beautiful Christian woman who loves Jesus, and makes it her goal to follow Him daily. Sylvia has been a regular follower of my blog, and shared with me how she finds so many of my posts inspirational and great encouragement.

Sylvia is the founder of lovely “SHABBY CHIC,” a furniture restoration business in which she restores older furniture and makes them her very own special works of art and design. Her pieces are often sold in finer stores throughout the Orlando region, and even out of state buyers come to purchase her amazing works.

Highly successful throughout the years, Sylvia’s work had come to a temporary standstill over her husband’s health crisis and impending surgery, plus personal loss and tragedy causing her to simply be unable to continue in the strenuous work required to restore furniture. Deep depression had caused her to almost stop eating entirely, in fact. I was alarmed when I noted how much weight she had lost.

However, ever since God brought me here to minister in various ways, including providing vitamins and a health food regimen to designed to restore her and to boost Vinnie’s health as well, Sylvia is rapidly on the road to recovery and now has the strength to begin building up her inventory of restored furniture to sell to delighted customers once again.

I start their day with organic smoothies and

powerful vitamins and healthy breakfasts.

Sylvia’s home is filled with her lovely restored furniture. But even more importantly, Sylvia has made it her priority to fill her home with the glory of God by displaying His word tastefully throughout her home. Immediately upon entering her home, one is struck by the beautiful presence of the Word of God professionally hand painted in various locations.

When I first came to visit her, I felt like I was entering into a professional Christian television studio once again. Everywhere I looked, I discovered God’s inspiration filling her home.

Although Sylvia’s life has been filled with difficult challenges and hardships, the latest being her 82 year old husband’s serious heart condition requiring major surgery and his loss of business ventures, she knows the secret of how to bring peace and joy into her home. JESUS is Lord of her household!

Sylvia is hoping to start weekly prayer meetings in her home soon, in fact, with the first one being prior to Vinnie’s heart surgery April 14th, 2014. If you want a home filled with joy and the presence of God’s peace and love, simply use it for His glory!

Already Sylvia and Vinnie and I have been spending much time in prayer for their serious needs at this time. And God is moving mightily in Vinnie’s life especially now, something that Sylvia has prayed for continually. She is amazed at what God is doing now in their lives through the prayers of Christians nationwide…and that includes YOURS.

However, as every Christian realizes from the word of God, “faith without works is dead.” God does the IMPOSSIBLE, and WE do the POSSIBLE. Together, this makes for a winning combination.

That is why I felt it was imperative to come to Sylvia’s home to not only pray, but to provide practical assistance in the field of home health care and nutritional advice as well. It is beautiful to watch both Sylvia and Vinnie respond daily to the special meal planning and nutritional smoothies plus quality vitamins, and also to PRAYER and the Word of God. And this is the kind of ministry I love to perform, producing CHANGED LIVES.

Let me stress that the support of precious readers has made all this possible. When I arrived, there was little food in their refrigerator, and it was critical that I start both of them on a health food regimen and obtain necessary vitamins as well for Sylvia and Vinnie. YOUR SUPPORT made all this possible!

Vinnie is moving closer to God than ever before, as he watches and sees how prayer is being answered continually in his home as we pray together. Sylvia rejoices daily to watch what God is doing in his life, and their home as well. How beautiful it is to watch the power of God work in people’s lives.

Thank you for your continuing prayers for this situation. Please pray for Sylvia to recovery strength so she can continue in her furniture restoration business. Pray for Vinnie to fully receive everything God has provide for him through Jesus Christ. Pray for a miracle of his health at the age of 82, that his heart will be fully restored.

As Vinnie turns to God in prayer now for his needs to be met, pray for God to graciously cause various business opportunities to work out in the future, so he can have funds to support his wife and home at this time, and to cover medical expenses as well. And especially, so that he may continue to see the power of faith and prayer working in his life, that he may know Jesus Christ as never before.

Vinnie’s surgery is April 14th, 2014. He and Sylvia thank you for your prayers at this time.

Treasured readers, regardless of what crises America and the world may face at this time, we can never forsake the most important thing in life, our relationship with God and taking the time to minister to one another.

Life for the true Christian is MORE than just scrambling like preppers on steroids to face the upcoming turmoil.

We must choose to believe God’s word when Jesus said, “But seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added unto you.”

Throughout 42 years of continuous ministries, I have discovered that whenever I place God’s priorities FIRST in my life, that He ensures that my needs are met continuously. If every Christian would put God’s priorities first in their lives, the world around us would be changed entirely.

When I received Sylvia’s previous emails outlining her personal crisis and great needs at this time, I prayed about coming to assist her, and instantly knew that this was God’s will at this critical time. As Jesus tells us, whatever we do for even the least of His children, we have done for HIM. We must always choose to believe His word.

And so , this first stop has become an important part of this PRAYER JOURNEY ACROSS AMERICA. Thank you so much for your prayers and continuing to support this important work that is truly producing changed lives for the Kingdom of God.
