Six False Flag Attacks to Remember

In this new era of rising tensions with Russia, Iran and China conscious citizens must be on the lookout for False Flag attacks. These attacks are typically used as a pretext to expand hostilities, pass draconian laws and alienate or discriminate against a people or ideology. False Flag attacks did not go away with the twentieth century, they are present now and could be used anytime. The tactic resides within our military, in the heads of corrupt politicians and greedy intelligence agencies. Recognizing false flags will be imperative to preventing further global wars and conflicts, and knowing there modern historical use can only help arm a vigilant citizen to this well-used tactic of starting wars.

These incidents led to the great wars and atrocities of the twentieth century,possibly, because people did not know what a false flag attack really was back then. Our generation has no such excuse at hand.

The Spanish-American War
Remember the Maine? On the night of February 15, 1898, the battleship USS Maine mysteriously sunk in Havana Harbour. Current evidence suggests it was sunk, killing 266 servicemen, with a mine and was not the work of Spanish saboteurs as claimed. Yellow journalism from William Randolph Hearst was used to great success to exaggerate, lie and turn the Maine’s sinking into a pretext for war and the invasion of Cuba, the Philippines and Puerto Rico. And so the era of False Flag Attacks entered modern History.
The Manchurian Incident
Next came Japan’s pretext to invade Manchuria and China. At 10.20pm on September 18, 1931, a contingent of Japanese troops blew a rail line at Liutiaogou, near a Chinese army base, and blamed the Chinese nationalists in the area for the sabotage. The Japanese declared attacking Manchuria was for their defense and so sparked a war that would claim millions of lives.
The Reichstag Fire
Next up to use a False Flag attack was Adolph Hitler. On February 27, 1933 a fire broke out in the Reichstag, the German parliament. The arsons destroyed the building and the Nazis immediately used the incident to their advantage and wrote an all encompassing decree which suspended the right to assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and other constitutional protections, including all restraints on police investigations and centered powers in the government. All for defending the people, of course. The Nazis heaped blame on the Communists and soon followed the Enabling Act which gave the National Socialists and Hitler, their leader, absolute power, by surpassing the Reichstag.
Invasion of Gleiwitz
The night of August 31, 1939, German Commandos, dressed like Polish partisan forces, took over the Gleiwitz radio station in Silesia along the German/Polish border. The station broadcast a dramatic report in German of Polish military formations invading the frontiers, then reverted to a Polish broadcast urging all Poles to take up arms and attack Germany! The story spread like wild fire in an already tense Europe. Alfred Helmut Naujocks testified at Nuremberg of receiving order from Heinrich Muller of the Gestapo to perpetrate the false flag attack. That same night all along the German/Polish border, German prisoners were dressed as Polish terrorists, shot and property damaged. Next day, on September 1st, Hitler blamed Poland for the acts of violence and declared war. World War two had begun.
Gulf Of Tonkin Incident
On August 4, 1964 the USS Maddox, an electron warfare ship, was in the Gulf of Tonkin off the coast of North Vietnam. That night it fought a battle with phantom ship that didn’t exist, and gave the Johnson administration a pretext to start the Vietnam war. On August 2nd the Maddox fired warning shots at a North Vietnamese torpedo boat getting too close, and it had replied. The Johnson administration later claimed the torpedo boat had fired first, we know now it didn’t. On the 4th, no enemy boats were in the area and a tense crew and stormy sea caused a false alarm aboard the USS Maddox that caused some of its crew to believe they were under attack. In Washington the false alarm was at first recognized, a reconnaissance in the morning ordered to straighten out the issue. However when the Johnson Administration got wind of the Phantom attack he ordered retailiation and bombers struck North Vioetnemese bases and oil depots. The Vietnam War flared soon after.
The World Trade Center Attacks
When 19 terrorists, most Saudi nationals, hijacked four planes and flew them into the WTC and Pentagon on September 11, 2001, the world changed significantly. The attacks came as a surprise to almost everyone, and when the shock and awe of watching the twin towers collapse faded, the war drums were hammering loudly. Muslim extremists and Osama Bin Laden were blamed, despite hard evidence Afganistan was invaded, then Iraq, using the terrorist attacks as pretexts. The 9/11 attacks, though not recognized as a False Flag attack by the media, show characteristics of being just that. A False Flag. The media were quick to blame the obvious culprits and failed to report the mysterious collapse of WTC 7, the insider trading, the war games enacting the same incident and also failed to question where the 757 that allegedly hit the Pentagon had disappeared too. The 9/11 attacks were used to justify invasions, a war on terror and Nazi-esque laws such as the Patriot Act which effectively sacked civil liberties and greatly empowered the Police State and Surveillance powers of the US Government.

    This has only been a brief foray into False Flag attacks and it’s this authors opinion that we all need to recognize and identify such tactics swiftly to blunt their purpose. We saw this happen recently with the public’s reluctance to believe Obama and the medias cries of Assad using chemical agents on his own people. War and invasion in Syria was postponed by Obama due to the outcry and critical thinking of many in the alternative communities. The need for an attentive citizenry is even more dire today, with the rising tensions between NATO and Russia, and a civil war in Ukraine flaring into bloodshed, the threats of rogue governments and military elements conspiring to use a false flag attack to their benefit has never been higher.
