Video Surfaces Of Texas Police Executing Handcuffed Prisoner (Video)

Earlier this year a grand jury declined to charge an El Paso police officer in the shooting death of a prisoner. A video of the incidenct was published on Monday, after the Texas Attorney General instructed the city to fulfill a request processed by the El Paso Times. The events of the video are deeply unsettling, showing a police officer essentially executing a handcuffed man.
On March 8, 2013, Officer Jose Flores shot and killed Daniel Rodrigo Saenz,
who was in police custody after erratic behavior at a supermarket led
him to be taken to a nearby medical center, where he is alleged to have
assaulted an off-duty police officer and the facility’s staff.
This is so terribly unjust it blows my mind. Prisoner or not, crazy or not, you can’t just exeute somebody like thi and not be punished for it. Or at least your not suppose to be able to.

The problem is that our police officers are not trained anymore to be police officers. They are trained as if they are battling enemy insurgents in a third world country. There was a time when an officer’s motto was “To Serve & Protect”. Now it is just “Comply or Die.” I would like know more about this incident. This article is lacking any details of what happened after the shooting. What happened just before and during the shooting are pretty clear. The suspect was combative and thus already placed in handcuffs. He also seemed to be somewhat combative even while in cuffs. A struggle ensued between two officers and the handcuffed suspect. One officer backed away from the suspect while the other officer was still engaged in the scuffle. The officer and the suspect were both on the ground when the officer that backed away simply pulled his sidearm and shot the suspect while the suspect was still on the ground. In no way did it appear that the suspect was actually able to cause any serious harm to the officers other than to struggle. The officer that fired the fatal shot appeared to do so in order to make the suspect comply, and not as a result of any fear for his or the other officer’s lives.
