Torture CoverUp Continues: Gov't Conceals Names Of Top Two Alleged War Criminals Paid $81M To Torture
Names of Central Intelligence Agency’s two torture developer psychologists paid $81 million for their crime is being kept secret, yet another government and media protection of America’s alleged high-level war criminals.
The two chief torturer of detainees developers were two inexperienced CIA contractors eventually paid $81 million for their work, according to a Senate Intelligence Committee torture report released Tuesday.
“The names of the two contractors were not provided, but they were referred under pseudonyms Grayson Swigert and Hammond Dunbar in the report,” Market Watch reports.
Interrogations lasting days on end, forced to stand on broken legs, go 180 hours in a row without sleep, rectal bleedings, a prison so cold, one suspect essentially froze to death while others were tortured to death.
The report reveals:
- Detainees were subjected to repeated waterboarding, slapping, stress positions and sleep deprivation
- Saudi al-Qaeda suspect Abu Zubaydah was kept confined in a coffin-sized box for hours on end
- Suspects were threatened with severe harm – psychologically and physically
- Interrogators used “rectal hydration” form of feeding, without medical cause
The two psychologists in charge of the war crimes had been working at U.S. Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape school before the 9/11 massacre, (another crime covered up).
“They had no interrogation techniques knowledge, al Qaeda, counterterrorism or “any relevant cultural or linguistic expertise,” the report said.
The Daily Beast reports:
“In November 2002, a detainee who had been held partially nude and chained to the floor died, apparently from hypothermia. This case appears similar to the that of Gul Rahman, who died of similarly explained causes at an Afghan site known as the “Salt Pit,” also in November 2002. The site was also called “The Dark Prison” by former captives.
“The aide said that the Cobalt site was was dark, like a dungeon, and that experts who visited the site said they’d never seen an American prison where people were kept in such conditions. The facility was so dark in some places that guard had to wear head lamps, while other rooms were flooded with bright lights and white noise to disorient detainees.
“At the Cobalt facility, the CIA also forced some detainees who had broken feet or legs to stand in stress-inducing positions, despite having earlier pledged that they wouldn’t subject those wounded individuals to treatment that might exacerbate their injuries.”
Torturing to death should come as no surprise. While the torture report references the brutality during the Bush regime, it has continued through the Obama administration, for example through solutary confinement and forced feedings of detainees choosing to die rather than continue to be tortured.
The U.S. torturing to death detainees has been explained by former detainee Murat Kuraz after he was released.
Wednesday, Constitution rights groups will gather outside major TV Networks to expose media’s complicity in high-level government crimes by not reporting them or providing disinformation, government manipulated “spin” about them to sustain crimes.
Former Guatanamo detainee Moazzam Begg speaks about how TV media spin fostering racism and hatred of Muslims works.
“The CIA relied on these two contractors to evaluate the interrogation program they had devised and in which they had obvious financial interests,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein, (CA. Dem) stated on the Senate floor.
From 2005 to 2008, the CIA “outsourced almost all aspects of its detention and interrogation program to this company,” Feinstein said. The contract was worth $181 million but only $81 million was paid, she said.
The two contractors personally conducted torture, including water boarding. They provided official evaluations of the psychological state of detainees to determine if the enhanced techniques .would continue, a form of non-consensual human experimentation.
Most of the detainees had committed no crime, had no history of crimes but tortured in worst ways, as former guard Christopher Arendt had told Press TV.
A top United Nations expert has called for US officials involved in torture to be prosecuted — and says that they can be tried in any country.
“It is now time to take action,” Ben Emmerson, UN special rapporteur on counter-terrorism and human rights, declared in a statement. “The individuals responsible for the criminal conspiracy revealed in today’s report must be brought to justice, and must face criminal penalties commensurate with the gravity of their crimes.”
Emmerson noted the primary responsibility to prosecute lies withing the US Department of Justice and US Attorney General’s Office, but “the perpetrators may be prosecuted by any other country they may travel to.”
“Torture is a crime of universal jurisdiction,” he remarked.
“The heaviest penalties should be reserved for those most seriously implicated in the planning and purported authorization of these crimes.”
Nevertheless, Barrack Obama has stuck to his statement when he first replaced Bush: No point in looking back, only forwards.
While the ACLU has demanded prosecuting these criminals for 13 years, the Obama Administration has shown very little to no political will to appoint a special prosecutor.
ACLU head Anthony Romero says what dozens of other civil and human rights organizations have been saying, “I wanted to provoke the administration, and shame them into taking action.”

Well, at least we didn’t cut their heads off. I don’t care what they did to those a-holes. War is hell.
Sounds like you’ve bought the boob tube spin, my dear. How many detainees were 100% innocent of crimes? Did you really read this and watch the short videos in it?
Then start to prepare, the whole world is FED up with stupid americans like you. The sad thing is you don`t have a brain to understand that the enemy is your ubercorrupt government…
Oh, I am not backing the US government’s actions. I would get the hell out of there and let you maniacal a-holes make fools of yourselves and wipe one another out.
How about bombing innocent women and children like America and Israel have done, is that cool with you? I noticed you’re bias towards the Muslims, but Christians and Jews are cool to do whatever they please?
the real hypocritical deal
Of course you will never mention the suicide bombers the muslims invented and are very fond of and use at every opportunity to kill mothers and their children and folks on buses or in restaurants.
you will never mention that muslims love death and the christians and Jews love life.
I am bias towards muslims who worships death, who love to cut off heads, who take those of there own race and shoot then in the head by the hundreds at a time – who beat women and who marry 6 years old little girls and “use” them until they bleed to death.
Is all of the above “cool with you” I think it is.
