The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) is due to announce whether or not the minute hand of the “Doomsday Clock” will be adjusted during a news conference Thursday in Washington at 16 GMT.
The last time the clock was adjusted was in 2012 when BAS pushed the minute hand one minute forward. The symbolic clock was founded in 1945 and indicates the world’s vulnerability to catastrophes as a result of climate change and the use of nuclear weapons. Enjoy!!!
The previous time the Doomsday Clock minute hand was changed was in January 2012, when the hand moved forward from six minutes until midnight to five. The doomsday situations expected to be discussed during the 11 a.m. Eastern Time Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists press conferences include terrorism, nuclear modernization, and climate change. Even though many discount the dangers that climate change presumably presents, the topic is now apparently a major consideration for the group which controls the arms of the Doomsday Clock.
The University of Chicago established the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists in 1945. The university scientist also helped produced the first atomic weapons in the Manhattan Project. The Doomsday Clock was established after their atomic bombs were dropped upon Nagasaki and Hiroshima to help put an end to World War II.
Members of the BAS include 18 Nobel Laureates. The choice to move the minute hand on the Doomsday Clock is made by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Board of Directors in association with its Board of Sponsors. Be AWARE and be PREPARED, FEAR is not an option. Be safe everyone…

Most likely 40 days later the 3rd major attack and most of us will not have to worry about any doomsday clock ever again; thanks to Russia, China and possibly one other nation which I would guess to be North Korea.
