Armed Marine Vet Guarding Recruiting Center Told To Leave Or Face Arrest (Video)
(N.Morgan) An honorable Marine veteran seeking to protect his fellow soldiers, stood armed outside an Armed Forces Recruiting Center has now been told he is no longer welcome and ordered off the property or face arrest.
Matthew Benack took up a sentry post outside the Center in Jacksonville, Fla., in response to the deadly attack on five members of the U.S. military last week in Chattanooga, Tenn., WNCT reported.
The police had stated that the veteran was well within his constitutional rights to have a loaded weapon outside the center as long as the unidentified property owner gave permission.
Benack said the owner, represented by Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, initially allowed him to be there, but changed her mind.
He was asked to leave Tuesday by the property management firm.
Was Coldwell Banker contacted by state or government officials and persuaded to change their stance of this issue?
A representative, Grayson Powell, said in a statement:
“We value the sacrifices our armed forces make for this country each day and hold all branches of the military in the highest esteem.
We take the security of the recruiters in Westwood Village extremely seriously and are in communications with them about the best way to work together to ensure their safety and the safety of all of our tenants.
Yet having an armed civilian who is not known to us, the recruiters or the police arrive to stand vigil in a busy shopping center has the potential to create an unsafe environment, and it is our responsibility to ensure both our tenants’ and customers’ safety.”
Benack took to social media to express his disappointment in the decision, and to ask supporters not to protest against the property owner.
He posted this message on his Facebook page Tuesday evening:

I have now this morning been told that the Owner has changed her mind because she thought I was part of the recruiting station……
.REALLY what is the difference I served honorably and went through all procedures possible and now she has second thoughts GET REAL LADY!
PLEASE DO NOT PROTEST it is private property to include the parking lot and you will be arrested!
I thank everyone for there overwhelming support and willingness to help!
I am truly sorry something good has turned for the worst!!!!

Guard what a recruitment center where good men go to
be murdered and abused by the government.
I see things in black and white, very little shades of grey about this issue, so I may be way off base here…
BUT, it would seem to me, if the property owner in this case, told the Veteran to leave, from doing something that is actually lawful, (which the article said was the case), then that property owner is assuming ALL liability if that recruiter office happened to get attacked and people lose their lives BECAUSE of HER decision… Forget what the Government may have told her, the Government will NOT protect her, she will be flapping in the wind, on her own… IF they do get attacked, now knowing the recruiter is defenseless because SHE (the owner) told the armed Veteran to leave or be arrested, THEN I think her life financially will be over by legally removing protection from the recruiters office that all of them have now been shown to be a target of Islamic Hate of this country, its people both Military and citizens.
I am not an attorney, so there may be legalities I am not aware of here, as I said black and white logic is what I speak from… If folks out there do have a lot of legal knowledge on this subject, I would find it very interesting to hear…
Kudos Anon!! Excellent points. Your on a roll.. Also, the key word is private property and liability which has been left to authorities in this case. From a liability standpoint she is correct to allow the police to take it over. If something happens she has a better leg to stand on from a legal perspective than a lone private gun on scene. I am an Oath Keeper myself and would stand gaurd myself but the system being what it is currently makes this a delicate issue to say the least.
So after they know who he his and run a background check, they still don’t know who he is? 100% totally legal. So now the whole world knows who he is, yet the mall and local pig swine still don’t know who he is… Yes the mall fricken knows who he is by all the media and police who questioned him for hours on end… Of course, this will now be illegal in one of the worst crime riden states….
In past instances of fascism (just a word in the dictionary) the police state allowed vigilantism to do some of the dirty work — probably, provided that they weren’t embarrassed by it.

Listen they have guards at the social security office with 9mm strap on their side Not sure why that is, I guess old people and handicap people are very dangerous. Anyhow I will say to our good military stand with us and help us change our country back to a nation of proud man and woman instead of becoming a sacrifice to their little demon gods. this may be a very good opportunity for us the people to recruit train personal that can help train and protect the rest of us.
Sorry, but I think it’s silly for weekend warriors to stand guard at a military facility! If the military can’t stand up for themselves, then they deserve what they get! Seriously, WTF! Are they defenseless, and without power! They could take out washington in 5 minutes! And they should! It’s what america needs! They don’t need our help, they need to fight back! Their commander and chief, and all of congress, and their top brass laugh at them, and they take it!
