I have decades of reading into and researching conspiracy, and end of the world prophecies and scenarios.
It wasn’t until fairly recently, that I have come to the conclusion there is ALWAYS 100% of the time, very little real data to back up end of the world/end of society as we know it scenarios.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying an asteroid CAN’T hit Earth. I’m not saying there will NEVER be a 9.5 earthquake in a heavily populated area. I’m just saying, no one is going to predict it. Except maybe the ones that predict it every month.
But that’s kind of cheating.
You can fear for the end of the world coming tomorrow almost every day of your life, if you read into it enough. Of course you also might get hit by a car while walking to check the mail tomorrow.
Authors have lived and died claiming the end of the world was coming soon. After so many years, and so many past dates, and ideas, all being proven wrong, no matter how good someone made their story sound, I have come to the conclusion, its not happening.
At least not the way anyone will try to convince you. Not the way they tell you in the book their selling. Not the way they tell you in a article the wrote for their job. Or not the way they tell you in a article they wrote for the ever sought after internet fame. They will always be wrong. They do not know more than you.
It might happen, but you wont read about it first. It will just happen.
