The LAND SABBATH — A Commandment For Today?
God gave Israel a very special law regarding the land — a commandment to allow the land to rest from active agricultural production every seventh year. It was called the “land Sabbath.”
Observance of this seventh year rest for the land allowed the land to rejuvenate itself. It prevented the exploitation and forcing of the ground. It allowed the land to regather its strength and fertility.
But the land Sabbath was also a benefit for man, the tiller of the ground. It gave the farmer an opportunity to devote his time to repairs on the farm, fences, barns, or even time for travel, education, and and to do future planning. It was as well a “Sabbatical year” to pursue the study of God’s Word in a more active way.
In Exodus 23:10-11 we read: “And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof. But the seventh year (notice, not just any one in seven or the seventh part each year!) thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat.”
Then in the next verse: “Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest . . .” If we need not keep the land Sabbath command, can we also justify breaking the weekly sabbath command, by using the same kind of reasoning?

Christians don’t follow the sabbath. We follow Christ. He changed His day from the Sabbath to Sunday. By Resurrecting on a Sunday and officially starting the Church (Pentecost) on Sunday. Christ fulfilled all the old testament law..

Great multitudes of Christians follow the true Sabbath. Jesus Christ did not change the Sabbath to Sunday. It was Roman Emperor Constantine that changed it to the first day of the week. Remembering, honoring the original Sabbath is crucial for anyone that wishes to be sealed to YWHW; the God of Abraham. Those who assert that the Sabbath commandment was given only to the Israelites, Jews overlook the fact that the seventh day was sanctified immediately after He completed the six days of creation and before the first Israelite, Jew existed. At the moment He sanctified it, He explained exactly why the seventh day was sanctified, gave the Sabbath instructions and declared it a perpetual (eternal, everlasting, permanent) covenant. He did not add that His Sabbath commandment was intended only for a specific group, or that it was for a limited duration. He gave the Sabbath commandment to all His people… and also said that the Seventh-Day-Sabbath is a sign that He is our God and we are His people.
When speaking of the end of the age, Jesus Christ said, “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.” This scripture makes clear that Jesus Christ recognized that His present-day followers were keeping the Sabbath and that His future followers would be keeping the Sabbath up until the very end. Why would He urge us to pray/petition that it not occur on the Sabbath if He did not suppose, expect us to still be keeping it?
Take note that a Sabbath exception was not made even for Jesus Christ. The burial preparation of Jesus Christ was to be done in two parts. The first part was started shortly after He was crucified, 3 hours before the Sabbath began. Because they ran out of time, His burial preparation was to resume after the Sabbath, but when the women entered His tomb, He had already rose.

“Then the LORD said to Moses, Say to the Israelites, `You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.” Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a PERPETUAL covenant.

Jesus replies to the Pharisees “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” (He did not say that the Sabbath was made for a specific type of man, such as an Israelite or a Jew, but for man/all mankind).

The way I see it, the shaking began 09-11-2015… This event was more than just a warning… a collapse is here, a breakdown of what man has honored in vain.
