One person, likely a suicide attacker, was killed and 10 people were wounded Sunday night in an explosion at a restaurant in Ansbach, Germany, officials say.
The blast was caused by a bomb, possibly an improvised explosive device, or IED, according to the German newspaper Bild.
SWAT police teams could be seen in the aftermath of the explosion Sunday night, with helicopters overhead, as seen in the videos above, and below.

DEVELOPING: A man with an “explosive device” blew himself up in the center of the German city of Ansbach near an open-air music festival on Sunday, killing himself and injuring 10 others, officials said.
Ansbach police said in a statement that just after 10 p.m. Sunday they were alerted to an explosion in the city center.
“A man, according to our current knowledge the perpetrator, died” in the blast they said in the short statement. Further details weren’t immediately available and they did not pick up their telephone lines when contacted by the Associated Press.
The dpa news agency reported that the nearby open-air concert with some 2,500 in attendance was shut down as a precaution after the explosion.
The city’s mayor, Carda Seidel, told local media that an “explosive device” blew up in the city center but provided few other details.
The Bavarian Interior Ministry told dpa that it appeared to possibly be a bombing attack, saying that there was evidence that there was a “deliberate explosion.”
The website for a group of local newspapers, nordbayern.de, reported that none of the 10 injured were in life-threatening condition.
Joachim Herrmann, Germany’s interior minister, has left Berlin for the city, Sky News reported.
Bavaria’s interior ministry said the explosion was not an accident, adding, “We assume it was deliberate,” Sky News reported.
Germany has been on high alert following a series of incidents in recent days.
On Sunday, a Syrian refugee wielding a machete killed a woman and injured two other people in the German city of Reutlingen. The 21-year-old man was apparently acting alone and was arrested by police.
One Friday, nine people were killed in a shooting near a shopping mall in Munich, which was carried out by an 18-year-old who later turned the gun on himself.

A SUICIDE bomber has exploded a device at the entrance to a German open air music festival, wounding 12 and prompting a massive police response.
The Mayor of Ansbach, Carda Seidel, has confirmed to local media that the blast in the city’s centre was due to an explosive device.
Police sources have since told German media they believe the single deceased person to be the suicide bomber. Twelve people have been taken to hospital, three with life-threatening injuries.
Unconfirmed reports on local social media suggest a man wearing a backpack had been turned away from the entrance moments before the blast.
Fire services responded to the blast shortly after 10pm Nurenberg time (6am AEST), which was initially said to have been a possible gas explosion.
It was later realised to have come from the footpath in front of a wine bar alongside the entrance to the three-day music festival. MORE

A SUICIDE bomber has died in an explosion in Eugene’s Wine Bar in Ansbach, Germany near Nuremberg.
11 people are believed to have been injured in the blast and the suspect is the only one to have died.
There are also reports on social media claiming that just before before the explosion a man with a backpack was denied entry to the nearby music festival.
Around 2,500 people were attending the event.
