The creators of the Microchip arent alive any more, they were old men in the 50s, and the RFID chip is a super simple device that cannot do any of the fear mongering posted here.
The RFID chip can do about as much as the magnetic strip on your credit card. It cannot contain GPS, a battery, a recording device, or nearly anything that people fear. It can only be read with a yard of the scanner.

Your right RFID is pretty cool technology invented by a Russian several decades ago. But as you’ve correctly pointed out it does not contain it’s own power source, it reflects back signals from a transmitter/ scanner receiver units sometimes with the help of an antenna shaped like a square spiral with the RFID chip in the center of the antenna, in the case of the chips used for example on pets, those chips have no external antennas. But generally RFID chips are far to small to contain batteries or GPS to transmit a signal to space or even a 50 yards.
