Catalonian Independence & Media Misdirection (Updated)

Clubbing the elderly for voting . . .

Saudi Arabia? . . . North Korea? . . . China?

No.  “Civilized” Western Europe, Member of the European Union, fourth largest economy there . . . Spain.

Claiming to be a democracy as much as “Hannibal Lecter” claims to be a sane vegetarian, Spain’s state police forbids voting in a “democracy“.  Freedom is illegal in Spain.

While the United States cheers for their rival’s Russia’s domestic independence movements to break up and embarrass their perceived foe, when the same comes to themselves or most of their Western allies, such independence movements are strictly forbidden.

Any world leader, or likewise CIA backed television “commentators” of foreign media (who were the only ones to cover the event), who suggested the likes of “Well, they that voted in Catalonia broke the law, so the police response of beating them bloody over the head with a club to stop them from violating the anti-voting law was justified“, might as well say the same of a woman being clubbed bloody by the government of Saudi Arabia for driving a car, who likewise broke a tyrannical, human-rights-violating, “law”. To tell the truth, I cannot believe I have ever heard such harsh, inane, and insane words coming from such people who claim to be “intellectuals“.

As the “Vegas shooting” was perfectly timed to the day with the independence vote in Catalonia Spain, 0% of American television news coverage was devoted to this historical international event, deliberately done so for fear the reporting of it might inspire similar independence movements to come to their own shores.

“When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

I guess we forgot these immortal words which formed our own nation with this supreme logic of what government should and should not be. Additionally, as Spain boldly considers itself to be a “Christian” nation, then their leaders should recall, meditate upon, and then obey this scripture . . . (1st Corinthians 7:15) . . .

“If the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases. God has called us to live in peace.”

This is the Bible’s stance for divorce, when one party wishes to leave and the other wishes to remain married; that the party wishing to remain married is to let the departing partner do so if that is what they desire.  End of story.  Otherwise there is “bondage” (which is slavery) or a lack of peace; war commencing (as was the case in America’s Revolutionary War) for the forced attainment of the basic human rights of freedom that should have been freely given them by their counterpart, whose failing to do so proves their tyranny, and rightful rebellion thereof, in the first place.

These are basic human rights of freedom.  You cannot lawfully require a person who wishes to divorce their spouse (in this case, for abuse) to remain married against their will.  Who would argue otherwise? Even powerful Great Britain had the decent decorum to let Scotland peaceably vote, by majority, to leave their nation if they chose to do so. Why would anyone in their right mind want to remain married to a person (or entity) who did not want to be married to them anyway?

The same is true for the state of Texas and the state of Catalonia. Any union is by mutual consent. Just as forcing a person to marry another is condemned universally by the United Nations, so should a state, by majority vote, have the right to not be a part of a national entity. The only reason why such simple logic and basic human rights are spoken against, is because of other oppressive nations fearful of their own states taking inspiration from the Catalonians right to self-determination and doing likewise.  This is the very same reason why government controlled medias, like those in America, refuse to report on such an important international event as that which is taking place in Catalonia, for fear that the Catalonians rightful claim to freedom might spread throughout the world.
