The Earth Is Getting Colder Because It’s Getting Warmer

Ah….the ancient art of politicizing practically everything. Humans are doing a damned fine job of ruining our planet in ways too numerous to get an accurate count!

Our planet, in case one hasn’t noticed, is NOT orbiting the sun as it used to….since the indonesian quake/tsunami of 2004, in fact. Our planet now rises slightly above the ecliptic plane in winter, and slightly below it in summer. The sun now rises and sets over canada in summer, thousands of miles north of it’s old limit at the tropic of cancer which runs through central mexico. As we speak, sydney australia’s streets are melting. Along with the ice shelfs of antarctica. Flying animals falling dead out of the air from heat stroke by the thousands.

The moon now moves through dozens of degrees of latitude every MONTH, instead of it’s former total of 10 degrees per YEAR.

Now that the polar regions are receiving more direct sunlight than ever before, it is a natural result that MUCH more melted ice wends it’s way past the continents on it’s way to the equator. In case one is uninformed, it is the surface temperature of ocean water that dictates the weather of the continents. This is why we are now seeing such dramatic seasonal temperature extremes, both hot and cold!

And all of this is HUMAN caused. The increased radiation output from our sun? It too, HUMAN caused. ALL of it is human caused. The increased quakes, tsunami, volcanoes, solar radiation….pollution, ocean dead zones, etc….etc….

WE are doing it to ourselves. You see, the Creator of both the cosmos and our humble home, cannot and will not allow us to spread our particular brand of dysfunction to the heavens. He warned us of our current condition to the letter, LONG ago. The wars, disasters, economic mess, technological tirades,……ALL of it. To the letter.

And He told us what He would do in response to our wickedness to one another and His creation. And it too, is taking place, to the letter.

He warned that a third of all sea life would die. A third of the trees burned up. He would pour out a bowl of wrath upon the sun, causing the earth to grow hotter, and instead of repenting of their ways, many would curse His name even more.

He warned that the heavenly bodies would be shaken in our day, and they are. He said the oceans would be greatly agitated, and they are. That the earth would wobble like a drunk man, and fall over….

Luke 21:25-28

25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Isaiah 24:20

20 The earth reels like a drunkard,
it sways like a hut in the wind;
so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion
that it falls—never to rise again.

“So heavy is the guilt of it’s rebellion…”

He warned that the ‘elite’ of our world would see the ‘sign of Christ’s coming’ in the heavens and beat themselves with grief, hiding in the rocks of the earth. That they would seek even to kill themselves, but death would escape them. Our choices, both individually and collectively, brought this condition upon the world. And those ‘taking the lead’, usurping authority, misleading their fellow men, greedily polluting this once Jewel of a planet, will pay a heavy price for enacting policies out of hidden agenda, so often motivated by short sighted greed!

There are many more warnings contained in His Word that fit our current events to the letter. But also Hope! One can take a leap of faith off of the crazy train before it hit’s the station. Think of the reasons that God’s Kingdom is eternal, and what is required for such a Kingdom to last. Man’s empires have always risen and fallen for the same reasons. Hate, rebellion to what is good, breeds chaos, imbalance. Such a condition never lasts because it always carries with it, the seeds of it’s own destruction. Love, of the kind that is expressed freely, often despite one’s self, builds up, is solid, carries with it the seeds of construction. It never fails, and lasts forever.

Our Creator IS love. The runaway train that is man’s inhumanity to his fellow man, is already tipping at every turn.

Choose wisely Whom it is that you will serve.
