In the Butan state there is a mysterious mountain called Gangkhar Puensum and few people know it. Four expeditions unsuccessfully attempted to reach its peak and the Bhutan government prevented this massive mass, which according to the villagers hides an extraterrestrial base.

Of the 40 highest mountains in the world, only one remains without being climbed. It is called Gangkhar Puensum and is located in Bhutan, although we will see that the first mystery was born here. Two countries claim to own it.

Gangkhar Puensum measures 7.570 meters and was allowed to try to climb it only between 1983 and 1994. But no one has ever succeeded. And since 2004, its access is hermetically blocked by the Butan, China and Tibet governments. The reason? The villagers say that it is a sacred mountain and that there is life inside it. And the authorities believe that the villagers are right. 

China claims its membership of those 269 square kilometers, but the Butan authorities also prohibit anyone from approaching this mountain. According to the English expedition of 1986, the Gangkhar Puensum would be located entirely within the Bhutanese borders.

According to the MUY portal, during the eleven years in which the Bhutanese government allowed its ascent, there were four expeditions that tried to climb the mountain but everything had failed. You want because the expeditions of the era were poorly equipped, the shipments have always encountered impassable terrain and the mountains are subject to unexpected climate changes and mysterious anomalies. The Gangkhar Puensum does not want to be climbed.

From the Chinese border there was an attempt in 1998 of a Japanese expedition. They have never reached the summit and have had to divert to another peak, the Liankang Kangri. They never explained the reasons for their detour.

The mountain is an enigma. It is believed that its height is what is said, but the maps are quite inaccurate and the first team that wanted to climb it to measure it, in 1922, could not even find the mountain.

The villagers say it will never be climbed. That there is life in its bowels and it is not human. They speak of fast discs of opaque silver that enter and leave the mountain and that many nights the sky is illuminated with reddish and golden colors. Several Tibetan monks claim that the extraterrestrial activity in the place has been documented by them since 1998.

In the local dialect, means Gangkhar Puensum The White Peak of the Three Spiritual Brothers ( The white peak of the three spiritual brothers ). Locals say they are more than three spiritual entities and are not from this planet. They will prevent climbing on the sacred mountain to anyone who tries.

The mountain is still there. Impressive. Virgin. Those who tried to conquer it could not. And sometimes, at night, the sky lights up red and gold.
