On Tuesday, Israel destroyed several Iranian rocket vehicles after reporting an “unusual” Iranian presence near Damascus.

Israel and Iran have been butting heads for months, with Israel warning of strikes to any threat, anywhere from Iran. They have struck multiple Iranian forces and proxy forces in Syria throughout recent months. Fast forward to Wednesday, 09May2018, Benjamin Netanyahu met with Vladimir Putin to discuss Israel’s intent to place airstrikes on threats present in Syria.

Shortly after, Iran launched a volley of missiles into Israel, prompting many towns to open their bomb shelters under the assault.

Israel kept its promises to retaliate by launching what has become the single largest direct offensive against Iran in Israeli history. This has been their largest-ever offensive in Syria since the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

These two forces have got a taste for each others’ blood now, and both will be eager to see the next level of conflict in the interest of securing their own dominance in Israel.

They’re basically at war already, though not officially declared at the moment. The nations will regard it as Israeli aggression, perhaps calling it terror and provocation, as Trump moves the Embassy to Jerusalem, and as the laws oppressing non-muslims on the Temple Mount are relaxed. These things all spur Iran into a bloodlust. All of this and a bit more political pushing will be what galvanizes diverse enemies into one unified wave that sweeps across the Holy Land any day now. When that happens, RayEl is their only remote hope of not being obliterated. Sadly, they’ve given him little cause to show mercy.
