Aftermath of Lane

Even though the storm was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time of actually hitting the island, there was some serious damage presented to the island. With the tropical storm Miriam forming out in the Pacific and the possibility of it coming near the islands, is this the end of their woes?

Hurricane Lane dumped a huge amount of water on Hawaii’s big island, causing some serious flooding. The National Weather Service said that it had reached catastrophic damages with flood waters reaching 40+inches in many areas!

These floods have caused at least 1,100 people to be moved to emergency shelters. As of yet no deaths or injuries have been reported, and needless to say, no the hurricane did not merge with the erupting volcano to make a “hypercane” as some crazy people had proposed it would. There was, however, a “white-out’ created around the area as lava converged with the rains.

With all of the hype that was generated from this, along with a Torah Codefound by @prime-cleric one might think this was a bit of a flop given our history and proclamation of the Lord chastising America. This was a mercy, as none of his punishments have been truly severe since they started. A hundred lives here and there, but compared to what is coming, this is a warning to prepare.
