America was great when we were The United States. North America and South America are continents. The United States is a nation, a union in a united state.

The United States was great when we did not seek greatness for the sake of being great, or wealth for the sake of being rich, or winning despite all others. America was great when we acted great to raise the stakes for the world not just to be great, not just win, win, win.

The United States was great when there was the sentiment known as the ‘spirit of the law.’ Now the authorities utilize nonlethal weaponry like it’s nothing and the powers that be follow the letter of the law to bash individuals and lessen the weight of the law for the institutions. The spirit of the law has been lost.

The United States was great when we grew hemp. The prohibition of hemp and cannabis has served oligarchies and hurt generations of individuals. The prohibition of cannabis has propped up the police state.

The United States was great when we created permacultural resources like Johnny Appleseed or the natives, as well as agricultural resources in amounts which could feed the world. The United States became healthy and wealthy and was able to share the greatness of eating healthy food with the world. Now weapons manufacturers have hijacked the heirloom foods of humanity through genetic modification and plunged us all into a monoculture diet efficient for slavery but not promoting health nor greatness.

The United States was great when the government restricted corporations from expanding beyond state line. The United States was great when we constrained institutions so as to empower individuals

The United States was great when the armed forces explicitly simplified their uniforms so their was no way individuals would get the dirtiness of war and defense with the neatness of being well dressed. Now police and military cars, uniforms, weaponry and equipment looks attract women and the newness of the blood dress even inspires children.

The United States was great before the renunciation of slavery was removed from The Declaration of Independence. If the renunciation of slavery were not removed perhaps the hypocritical aspects in the founding of The U.S.A. -not America mind you- would have been lessened and The U.S. Civil War may not have even occurred.

“He has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life & liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere, or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither.”

The United States was great before implementation of Patriot Act. This Orwellian named series of constitution eroding Big Brother extremes utilizes the emotional imbued word to act in terms not at all resembling patriotism. The United States was great when we upheld the 1^st Amendment in spirited and cemented terms.

The United States was great before the Citizen’s United Supreme Court decision. This opinion wrongly applied The First Amendment rights guaranteed to individuals to corporate institutions. And since corporate institutions have no heart, nor mind and are incapable of speaking, the wrongful decision enables corporate institutions to finance politicians with unlimited donations.

The United States was great before the oligarchical collectivism of the military industrial complex became the insidious powerhouse of the nation, as warned by President Eisenhower. This is illustrated in the formation of the intelligence agencies post WWII, and the inception of the nuclear era. Since then most everything at one level of depth or another is all decoration to the military industrial complex. The city of St. Louis has an interesting history pertaining to this dimension of institutional horror. The military covertly released radiological elements in certain areas of the city (housing projects, poor neighborhoods) in order to see what would happen. There is also a nuclear waste storage site implemented during the production of the first atomic bombs right next to a neighborhood, in the city of St. Louis, that threatens worsening releases.

The United States was great when individuals could trust the institutions around them…Just in Pennsylvania alone in the last few years it has been revealed that a judge gave children harsher sentences in exchange for kickbacks from privately owned juvenile detention centers, pedophilia and blind eyes to such within scholastic institutions, and worse of all generational pedophile abuse and cover up of the abuse by priests and others with the Catholic Church…That’s just Pennsylvania…

The United States was great before the oligarchical collectivism of numerous corporations. Oligarchical collectivism is best understood as a pyramid system in which each of the blocks of the pyramid are oligarchies unto themselves. The allopathic/pharmaceutical oligarchies, private prison system oligarchies, oil/energy oligarchies, and the aforementioned nuclear military industrial complex are some of the most atrocious. Being rid of oligarchical collectivism would certainly make The United States united again.

It’s as if there is a contrast in play; the more greatness one seeks the more kindness one potentially writes off, and the more kindness one holds the more greatness potentially unfolds.

The United States was great at times and reaches for greatness variously expanding individual heights so we can all reach up, but also extensively hinders individuals ability to reach up as well. Let’s adopt the spirit of the law, which is to prop up individuals and restrain institutions. Let’s stop seeking greatness at all costs, for evil means flop intended righteous ends. Let’s be great by being great not painting over the underbelly. Let’s create new designs for individuals, not simply design new police cars and put new paint jobs on planes. The United States is great – when we ascend instead of veering downward, going right or left. To be great let’s ascend not go right or left.
