Google’s YouTube is making changes to its recommendation algorithm yet again, however this time, it’s in an effort to crack down on the spread of conspiracy theories on their platform.
On Friday, the company stated it would reduce its recommendations of “borderline content” and videos that may misinform users in a “harmful way”.
Included in that feature are now “Conspiracies” like fake cures, the flat earth theory, anyone who believes 9/11 was an inside job, and …
In other words, the company will censor our freedom of speech and do it proudly under the banner of “safety”, regardless if the so-called conspiracy merits facts or not. And they do not specify what will or won’t be considered a “conspiracy”.
