I listened to this and as I can understand it “Top Vatican Jesuit Astronomer; Earth is Flat,” this the Vatican Astronomer did not say the Earth is flat, quite the opposite; he said we should not be fundamentalists about science. And that the knowledge of how things are related and works a.k.a. science is not written in stone but should be challenged (empirically) over and over again throughout time; and we will then have an updated science; progression. I agree with that, as I see it much of the science we are being taught is wrong and only works as scaffolding to touch what’s really real and they often do that with the help of variables; measured values in a graph; or table.
