Manhunt for Woman “Obsessed With Columbine” Ends in Her Death
The overnight manhunt for 18-year-old Sol Pais has come to an end near Mt. Evans, 60 miles from Denver, CO. According to local media reports, Pais was found dead by authorities on Wednesday.
The FBI first tweeted “We can confirm there is investigative activity around the base of Mt. Evans. The investigation is active and ongoing.” Followed by a tweet saying there was no longer a threat.

Other law enforcement agencies are also on scene and have said they are waiting for the coroner’s office to respond. No information has been released officially as to her cause of death.
Pais, who was reportedly obsessed with Columbine, flew from Miami to Denver and then purchased a shotgun and ammunition before disappearing into the foothills. Most of the schools in the area were closed or on lockdown as the manhunt continued overnight and into this morning. This week marks the 20th anniversary of the Columbine massacre.
