What he’s trying to say is that correlation is not causation. It’s the increased icecream sales cause shark attacks. Every year without fail, if you were to graph the sales of ice cream in coastal areas and compare it to the data for shark attacks you’ll see that the graphs are virtual carbon copies of one another. And I’m not bullsharking ya. So, obviously And increase in icecream sales causes the shark attacks this woman might surmise…without realizing that there are more factors she’s definitely not considering. Like…July August and SEPTEMBER are the warmest months of the summer. Warm weather tends to make people wanna buy something cold in order to cool off and go to the beach and be in the water. The more people are in the water the more opportunities for people to encounter sharks.
