They don’t THINK we are brain dead, look around you. The herd buys into anything the government/corporations toss at them, the few who reject things like teller machines and self checkout are looked upon as the stupid ones by the rest of the herd.
And, whatever system we have, it will suck. No doubt in China their system works smooth as silk.
Everything here in the states is all fucked up, mostly because the government tells corporations they must hire incompetents and has made various social groups protected species like the spotted owl, and therefore almost impossible to fire.
