The federal government is giving $1.6 billion to drug manufacturer Novavax for the development of a “coronavirus vaccine”, with the goal of distributing 100 million doses by early 2021. Novavax is a biotechnology company based in Maryland and is now a part of ”Operation Warp Speed”.
