NY police union endorses Pres. Trump’s reelection

Importance of retaining law enforcement-supporting president is key

The New York Police Department (NYPD) union faced rebukes from local Democrats after it endorsed President Trump’s reelection, following budget cuts and tensions between police and city lawmakers.

The New York Police Benevolent Association made the unprecedented endorsement, a first for the union, which represents over 50,000 active and retired New York City police officers. Their action clearly illustrates the widespread support the president has amassed in the wake of the left‘s dangerous “defund and abolish the police” movement.

PBA President Pat Lynch said it was the first time he could recall the group ever endorsing a president:

New York City police have faced a relentless campaign against them in the wake of police brutality protests following the unfortunate asphyxiation death of George Floyd after his attempt to pass counterfeit money while making a purchase. A conviction for the offense carries up to 20 years in prison and a fine.

Floyd’s death, which occurred in Minneapolis, nevertheless became the impetus for misplaced, nationwide retaliatory tactics based on what is now referred to as “systemic racism,” while elevating Floyd, to hero status. Lost in the anarchist-led. Marxist inspired chaos that followed, is the fact he was in police custody for attempting to commit a crime. Career criminal Floyd had a long criminal history including five incarcerations. Numerous illicit drugs were in his system revealed in the autopsy report. Despite those facts, Democrat politicians cut $1 billion from the NYC police budget. The move has caused crime to spike throughout the city. In July 2020, there were 244 shootings in New York, a 177 percent increase from the 88 which occurred in July 2019.

Democrat-led cities across the United States have one thing in common: As Law Enforcement Today points out…they have the highest crime rates.
