Candidates offer clear choices: Law and order v. chaos…as Biden hides

Reminding Americans, “I have kept my promises,” President Donald Trump formally accepted the Republican nomination for a second term outside the White House Thursday evening. He gave a moving recitation of the accomplishments that have occurred under his administration and was not reticent in listing Joe Biden’s failures in his nearly 50-year political career.

Trump told his audience, “They are coming after me because I am looking out for you.”

The choice is clear. When questioned earlier in the week about his response to the Coronavirus, Democrat nominee Joe Biden told the interviewer he would “shut down America.” Kamala Harris, Biden’s vice presidential nominee is on record saying she supports the marauding criminal mobs who have vandalized, committed acts of arson and murder in American cities. Biden, who has not appeared at a single public event since his acceptance speech, is now being given cover by Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has preposterously publicly advised him not to debate President Trump, irrationally stating it would serve to “legitimatize” the president. “Why even waste everybody’s time listening to what he has to say?” she added. Increasingly feeble, Biden has spent much of the campaign holed up in his home basement bunker and stumbling, though reading from a prepared script on camera.

Since 1960, when Kennedy and Nixon clearly showed the critical nature of televised presidential debates, as Nixon refused makeup and appeared fidgety, ultimately losing to Kennedy by a slim margin though coming out ahead with radio listeners, debates have become a mandatory feature of elections that can help or hinder candidates. Pres. Ronald Reagan known as talented debater, mastered the art of short and effective responses as seen in this 1984 unforgettable debate moment when Reagan‘s age had become an issue. In 2000, presidential candidate Rick Perry forgot key parts of his platform, dooming his campaign. Clearly primed for the opportunity, Dem Lloyd Bentson savaged Republican Dan Quayle in the vice presidential debate in 1988.

The RNC’s  final night theme, “The Land of Greatness.” included speakers Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Ivanka Trump, Ja’Ron Smith, Ann Dorn, Debbie Flood, former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani, Franklin Graham, Alice Johnson, Wade Mayfield, Arizonans Carl and Marsha Mueller, and Dana White.

The 2020 General Election presidential debates featuring Pres. Donald Trump and Democrat candidate Joe Biden begin in Cleveland, Ohio on September 29. The VP debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Democrat Kamala Harris is in Utah on October 7. Pres. Trump and Biden will then square off again in Miami on October 15 and in Nashville on October 22.

America’s most crucial presidential election will take place on November 3. President Donald Trump has proven he deserves reelection.
