Bumbling Biden out-buffoons himself on tax plan

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

During his recent trip to riot plagued Kenosha, Wisconsin, Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden was asked about his tax plan.

“Not gonna punish anybody but every[one] should pay a fair share,” he punted. “Not gonna lay out for you. I won’t now because they’ll shoot me.” Clearly unwell, he was able to string together these incoherent sentences without cribbing from notes.

Biden didn’t specify if the imagined shooters would be his handlers or the irate American taxpayers.

According to the non-partisan Tax Foundation, founded in 1937, most previous tax increases were temporary, while Biden’s tax plan would raise taxes for each year over the budget window and are intended as permanent. By historical standards, the tax increases Biden has proposed are significant, ranking alongside tax increases used to help finance World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

His plan would also have a negative long-run effect on the American economy, lowering long-run output and after-tax incomes across the income spectrum. Biden’s VP running mate Kamala Harris has also proposed multiple punishing changes to the tax code, including expanding your after-death estate tax to cover increased teacher compensation. As a lawyer, Harris should know this is not a federal issue.

In Arizona after striking teachers abandoned appropriately 840,000 students (link includes numerous permanent school funding sources) for nearly two weeks in 2018, Gov. Doug Ducey rewarded them with a 20% pay increase for their part-time employment.

Joe Biden’s irrational tax ramblings are nothing new. In June 2019 candidate Biden vowed, On Day One, I will move to eliminate Trump’s tax cuts,” bizarrely expecting the news to be met with cheers by American taxpayers.

Lay in a good supply of popcorn. The scheduled debates between Republican President Donald Trump and Biden, a pathetic relic of nearly 50 years of being reelected by Democrats, will be both enlightening and entertaining.

The smart money is on Trump.
