VP Debate: Marked by Kamala Harris’ lies and rudeness

A study in deceit vs. decency as VP Mike Pence emerged the clear victor

It’s a good bet that the politically astute readers of this site were glued to their screens last night watching the vice presidential debate featuring President Trump’s Vice President Mike Pence and Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris. 

To call it a study in contrasts would be to minimize the vast distinctions between the two. Conservative Republican Vice President Pence has spent the last four years actively engaged in the major policy decisions of the Trump administration. His background is impressive. He was elected to congress from the state of Indiana, and then won election as the state’s governor. He’s grounded in his faith and the law, having been in private legal practice prior to his venture into politics.

VP Pence’s steady demeanor, authenticity and obvious depth of knowledge inspire confidence.

Pence shared the debate stage with California’s junior Senator Kamala Harris, who spent most of her time scowling, smirking, rolling her eyes or shaking her head as a reprimand when Vice President Pence answered questions. Her inconsistencies between what she has previously said on numerous topics displayed her low regard of American voters, assuming we have all been afflicted with amnesia.

USA Today’s Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page, fell short in her role  as moderator, as she clearly favored Harris and repeatedly tried to stop VP Pence from completing his answers. As if one needs a hint to her bent,

Page is working on a paean to Nancy Pelosi, to be titled, ‘Madame Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and the Arc of Power.’ The book is due out in early 2021.

Describing Pelosi Page gushed, “She is the highest ranking woman in the history of American politics and the most effective House Speaker since Sam Rayburn, yet she is fundamentally misunderstood by many in the public.”

One of leftist Susan Page’s dripping with bias questions was, “President Trump has refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses.  What would you do?”

Hillary Clinton’s recent instruction to Joe Biden was, “Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances,” though those words didn‘t pass Susan Page‘s partisan lips.

Kamala Harris refused to answer whether she favored stacking the U,S. Supreme Court by increasing the number of justices from the current number of nine. She also went mum on whether she would push for statehood for Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, which would inextricably alter the political makeup of the United States, allowing for four new senators from what would most certainly be Democrat states.

Guidelines for selecting moderators and questioning panelists should include the word, “impartiality.” They always come from years of employment in the far left spectrum as we recently witnessed in this Oct. 6, square off between Sen. Martha McSally and her Democrat opponent Mark Kelly.
