Mr. Wood was right about one thing: Trust God.
However:
Since His New Covenant began, ALL governments were/are created by people; from their own imaginations. Mr.Wood is deceived as are countless others in believing man-made governments are above Christ’s Incoming (at some point) Holy Government. Though people do not state it like that in those exact words, the spirit of the thing is exactly what’s being said.
All discussions pertaining to earthly governments are actually attempting to shut down Christ’s “Agenda” or Plan which should ALWAYS Comes First. This is not always intentional, but that is what’s happening.
The main focus is on earthly man-made governments and almost nothing is discussed about the Truth that is His New Covenant; Christ’s Way 24/07, which is Above all else.
Most people who call themselves after Christ have one foot in the Old covenant which is no more and one foot in the New Covenant. John 18.36
Being in Christ’s New Covenant, WHEN you call yourself after Christ, is crucially important to understand. We are here to repent …Matthew 3.2 and to look for and prepare for His Holy Government; New Jerusalem. It is Written about in The Revelation of Lord Jesus Christ, Chapter 21. Christ Brings the Holy Government down here to earth and to those who have been faithful until the end which includes AFTER the Great Tribulation, will live with and serve with God…here on earth! These blessed saints will be…
running…SERVING with Christ, the entire world…here on earth.
No more man-made governments inspired by Satan, and evils to have to contend with which have always been inspired by Satan.
Part of the preparing to be [ worthy ] is KNOWING the Truth, speaking out the Truth to others, aiding/assisting/comforting others before you do for yourself.
Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted [ worthy ] to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21.36

And then read The Revelation of Christ Chapter 22. He Describes what this Holy Government on earth will Look like!
Again: Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but NOW My Kingdom is NOT from here.” John 18:36
