Blue state voters hope to oust the left-wing governors they put in office

Now that his lies about the actual numbers of patients who died of the coronavirus in New York nursing homes have been exposed, democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo is facing a serious mutiny within his own party.

Nine state assembly democrats signed a letter accusing Cuomo of obstruction of justice in the erupting scandal, urging their colleagues to strip the governor of his COVID-19 emergency powers, while setting the stage for impeachment. To add to his internecine grief, it’s been alleged Cuomo privately threatened the careers of the democrats opposing him.

It took six months for the Cuomo administration to reveal that over 15,000 residents died of COVID-19 in the state’s long-term care facilities, nearly double the 9,000 deaths acknowledged by Cuomo. The New York Post reported Cuomo’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, admitted to withholding calamitous actual nursing home data from federal prosecutors.

The West coast is also having governor problems as a recall of elitist Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has a major disconnect with California’s voters, moves forward. With the requisite 1.5 million signatures already gathered, RecallGavin 2020, the official website with downloadable petitions, is dedicated to collecting 500,000 more, leaving no doubt about the validity before the March 17, 2021 deadline. This tagline from the website states:

“Unaffordable housing. Record homelessness. Rising crime. Failing schools. Independent contractors thrown out of work. Exploding pension debt. And now, a locked down population while the prisons are emptied.”

Buyer’s remorse is in full tilt mode, though it doesn’t explain why Californians don’t pay closer attention to the names they support on the ballot. Robotically voting for dems is in no one’s best interests in a state that is flooded with illegal aliens and taxes have spiraled out of control while bums camp out on city streets amid piles of human feces and sidewalks are littered with hypodermic needles, driving both residents and tourists away.

The 2020-2021 politically lopsided, recipe-for-disaster California state legislature includes 40 Senators and 80 House members (known as the Assembly). The Senate has 30 democrats, 9 Republicans and one vacant seat. The numbers in the Assembly include 59 democrats, 19 Republicans, 1 registered Independent and 1 vacant seat.

The voters don’t grasp the maxim, “Elections have consequences.”
