Democrats Caught Doctoring Evidence in Impeachment Trial

Eyebrows were raised this past weekend after Donald Trump’s impeachment lawyer, Michael van der Veen, pushed back on a CBS News reporter’s attempt to minimize the Democrats’ doctoring of evidence, before storming out of an interview on Saturday. His client, President Donald Trump, won his acquittal during the Senate trial.
Van der Veen accused the partisan mainstream corporate media operatives of being “bloodthirsty for ratings” during a TV interview with CBS female anchor Lana Zak. Van der Veen proceeded to take his microphone off and walking away from the interview.
The argument hit boiling point after Van der Veen exposed the fact that the prosecuting Democrats and their House Managers had doctored multiple pieces of evidence presented to the American people during the trial. Some of the doctored evidence included Democrats played a selectively edited video of Trump’s remarks – while intentionally omitting exculpatory comments, manipulated the date on a Tweet, and intentionally added a verification ‘check mark’ next to a Twitter screengrab in order to make the exhibit appear more credible than it was.
Democrats attempted to sweep the manipulation under the rug by claiming that these were ‘minor errors’ and that they didn’t doctor evidence or change the content or facts in their submissions.
“The media is trying to divide this country,” he said. “You are bloodthirsty for ratings. And as such, you’re asking questions that are already set up with a fact pattern. I can’t believe you’d ask me a question indicating that it’s alright just to doctor a little bit of evidence. There’s more stuff we uncovered that they doctored, to be frank with you, and perhaps that will come out one day,” he explained.
“What happened at the Capitol on January [6th] is absolutely horrific, but what happened at the Capitol during this trial was not too far away from that,” said Van der Veen.
