Gallup wrong: USA needs honest media, not third party
The spiking political frustration of many Americans is manifesting itself in the results of a newly released Gallup poll which concludes only 33% of Americans believe the two major political parties are doing an adequate job representing the public.
According to Gallup, Americans’ desire for a third party has ticked up since last fall and now sits at a high in Gallup’s trend. Sixty-two percent of U.S. adults say the “parties do such a poor job representing the American people that a third party is needed,” an increase from 57% in September. Support for a third party has been elevated in recent years, including readings of 60% in 2013 and 2015 and 61% in 2017.
The numbers are interesting, but Gallup draws the opposite conclusion expressed by many frustrated supporters of former President Donald Trump, who aren’t seeking a third party, but desiring reporting honesty…which was sorely missing in the coverage of Trump and the issues that led up to his 2016 overwhelming victory over the left’s anointed Hillary Clinton and mounted throughout his presidency.
From the moment it was announced that businessman Donald Trump, who had never held political office, trounced scandal-plagued Hillary, the astonishment was palpable within leftwing networks and their print media cohorts. During the next four years he endured constant lambasting and derision to an extent never previously witnessed, despite the fact that the economy reached historic highs, until the advent of the Wuhan, China lab-created pandemic.
The fact that Trump drew massive crowds wherever he appeared rankled news sources to the point that his supporters were ridiculed. (Must watch video).
It’s not a third party that is needed. It’s the devious fourth estate — which wields outsize, skewed influence and the slippery ability to frame political candidates and issues to suit its radical image — that needs to be exposed and revamped.
