Juan, I usually agree with what You say. However, you are wrong that slavery was the main issue as to why the South seceded from the Union. It was the usual reason-money. The Industrial North was trying to tax the agricultural South into oblivion. They wanted to tell the South how to run their plantations. They wanted to run down the south. Do research and you will find your error.
