A dear friend of mine takes this mudflood theory very seriously. I have a hard time with it. Shouldn’t there be a myriad of native American legends and history on the subject? Obviously, elements of the theory make sense. There has been massive flooding and mud collection in parts of western America. Academia cannot be trusted to report anything accurately. Of course Noah’s flood took place, as recorded around the world in various ways by various cultures. And many past civilizations have existed all over the world. But my understanding is the mudflood events happened relatively recently according to proponents of the theory. I just don’t see how this would escape widespread acknowledgement by native Americans. We live in a hellacious world, and I can understand the desire to question and undermine every aspect of this nightmare.
Got to love me some Mud Flooding.
