Chicago voters hotfoot Lightfoot out of mayor’s office

Disastrous mayor kicked to the curb, 1^st to lose reelection since 1983

Lori Lightfoot, noted for bringing the nation’s third most populous city into the high crime sphere and still advocating to defund the police, has lost her primary election.

Voters, who have had their fill of Lightfoot’s lax policies resulting in higher homicide rates than more populous New York or Los Angeles, have given her the boot, despite having the requisite credentials of being a black, married lesbian. Taxes and crime have escalated with the city becoming a haven for criminality.

Nine candidates were on the ballot in Tuesday’s mayoral election. A runoff between the top two vote-getters Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson will take place April 4. The Chicago election results where Lightfoot significantly trailed her rivals can be seen here on NBC Universal Media, Channel 5.
