Biden DOD spox John Kirby blames Pres. Trump for Afghanistan withdrawal calamity

Defense Department spokesman John Kirby appeared in the press briefing room Thursday to play up the Biden administration’s finding that the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal disaster was President Donald Trump’s fault. The only reason it looks like President Joe Biden’s screw-up is that he was “severely constrained by conditions” set by Trump, as reported by Twitchy. Biden definitely didn’t feel hindered by any of Trump’s executive orders when he took office, but somehow this calamity occurring under his watch was something Biden’s inept mouthpiece Karen Jean-Pierre was unable to massage.

Political stooge Kirby claimed that “For all this talk of chaos, I just didn’t see it.” He somehow missed the video of Afghan men falling to their deaths after clinging onto landing gear. Ditto the suicide bomber who slaughtered 13 American service members. He didn’t see the videos of desperate mothers handing their infants to U.S. Marines guarding the barrier around the airfield.

But Kirby wasn’t done yet. He claimed it was “ludicrous” that the U.S. left millions of dollars of military hardware in Afghanistan for the Taliban to use. He’s only partially right — it was billions of dollars worth of hardware left in the hands of our enemies by Slo Joe.
