What have we learned on this journey?
This is a favorite line for SG. Especially when asked how he thinks matters and events will develop in the near future. Before we do that, let’s stop, relax and reflect on where we’ve been. Appreciate our time and place, and never forget that it’s a wonderful time to be alive.
For some of us in this battle the journey sucks. The journey becomes worse and worse over time.
I see two sides in the info war, which is really a mindwar, which is also ultimately a desire war.
It is like a volley ball game where one side continually throws down thunderous spike balls, while the other side does nothing but dig balls out of the ground, popping them up, hoping someone else can set the ball so that some one else might actually be able to spike the ball on the other side.
People like Mike Gill, for example, now is guy on the side of chest thumping and kick sand into the face of the little guy side? As smart and disciplined and strong as Gill is, he’s still on the run living out of his car, eating hot dogs.
Or how bout Richard Citizen Journalist? This guy predates and dwarfs the other guys on optics. We had confirmation of many things early on cuz RCJ took his camera and went boldly where no one else was going. And what is his reward for all of the hours and travel put in? Where are the sponsors?
