Dems want better options than Biden

A new NBC poll — traditionally unfavorable to Republicans — indicates an overwhelming majority of Republican voters would vote for former president Donald Trump in the GOP primary, with 51%, listing him as their preferred choice. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took a low second with only 22% of the vote and former Vice President Mike Pence remains at a bottom-dragging 7%.

Only a third of democrats want the 80-year-old cognitively challenged and repeatedly falling Joe Biden to seek a second term.

State Rep. Steve Shurtleff (D-NH) stated that he didn’t know if he would vote for Biden in 2024. He previously announced that the democrats would be better off with a new generation of leadership.

“I may end up voting for him again, especially if he’s running against Donald Trump or the governor of Florida (Ron DeSantis). If those are the options, I will vote for the president,” Shurtleff said. “But I really wish he’d get out of the campaign.”
