The 2026 FIFA World Cup Mega-Ritual

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

In the past years, this site covered sporting events such as the Olympics and the Super Bowl because the elite finds it absolutely necessary to imbue these widely watched events with their agendas and symbolism. In some cases, they turn them into all-out rituals.

Although the FIFA World Cup spans a much larger period and garners much more interest worldwide than the sporting events mentioned above, it appeared to be relatively spared by occult elite weirdness. Until now.

In the 2026 edition of the World Cup, which took place in the U.S.A, Mexico and Canada, there appeared to be an effort to make this competition about more than the sport. Between the symbolic opening ceremonies and the Super Bowl-style halftime show of the finals, we saw a flurry of accusations, coincidences, and conspiracy theories that turned the “beautiful sport” into a “not-so-beautiful drama.”

Released in late 2025, The Economist centered its “The World Ahead 2026” cover (which already seemed to predict things such as the war in Iran and the Strait of Ormuz blockade) around the FIFA World Cup. The fact that the globe was a soccer ball gave the cover a distinct “all the world is a stage” feeling.

With that said, look at the colors worn by the soccer player above. Red and blue. Now let’s look at the game winning goal of the finals.

The Spanish kit was red and blue.

Of course, this could be a coincidence, like everything else mentioned in this article. However, by releasing symbolic covers with often accurate predictions, The Economist (which is owned by the members of the world elite) subtly tells us that many world events are actually scripted.

And some believe that the overarching narrative of the World Cup was scripted as well. The main story: Lionel Messi passing the torch to Yamin Lamal. Not in a dignified, sportsmanlike way, but in a bizarre, occult grooming type way.

And beyond these stories between individual mega-stars, the FIFA World Cup was a perfect venue to promote something even more important for the elite: The promotion of the occult elite’s symbols and rituals. Here’s a look at the most significant moments of the World Cup.

Symbolic Ceremony

The opening ceremony in Mexico featured a giant version of the trophy sitting triumphantly atop a pyramidal structure reminiscent of Mayan or Aztec pyramids.

The Mayan and Aztec civilizations practiced ritual sacrifices at the top of their pyramids. They often involved the beheading or the heart extraction of the sacrificed person before the body was thrown down the steps of the pyramid.

Mexican artist Lila Downs delivers a spoken-word welcome message to the world in several languages.

During the English part of the message, she says:

“Mexico receives you with smiles from our hearts. We are a nation of diversity, heritage and pride from ancestral lands where ritual, movement and spirit endures.”

It is interesting that the word “ritual” was injected in this speech, as if to signify that there’s a distinct ritualistic element to what the world was about to witness.

As if to confirm this fact, a few minutes later, Belinda begins her performance with a very clear and completely unprompted “eye in the pyramid” hand sign.

During the competition, each match was preceded by a little ceremony that bore the occult elite’s signature.

Before each game, the national flags were purposely curved to create a gigantic eye in the center of the pitch. The pupil was made with the same globe-as-a-soccer-ball concept seen on the Economist’s cover.

As the World Cup progressed, a narrative quickly surfaced and remained the main story throughout the event: Argentina and its star player Lionel Messi had to be at the finals. But why?

Ritual Drama

Throughout the event, multiple people went on record to say that Argentina was favored by the referees because FIFA absolutely wanted the team to go to the finals. While moaning about the refereeing is an unavoidable part of the game, this year’s accusations were much more damning and specific.

For instance, after losing to Argentina 3-2, Egypt’s coach stated:

“We looked better than the reigning champions – better in everything – but the result was influenced by internal factors on the pitch and external factors off it. Perhaps they wanted to keep the world champion in the competition. Perhaps they wanted Messi to stay in the running.”

These accusations did not only come from “sore losers.”

Ronaldo and other important figures called out the potential rigging of games. Some called for an all-out investigation.

As if to confirm that the organization was open to corruption, FIFA canceled a red card for American player Folarin Balogun at the request of Donald Trump. It was like FIFA saying: “This is what’s happening this year.”

So Argentina reached the finals along with Spain and its star player Lamin Yamal. As soon as this matchup was announced, this picture from 2007 went ultra-viral.

This picture of 20-year-old Lionel Messi bathing a 5-6-month-old Yamin Lamal blew everyone’s minds.

The story behind this picture is that Yamal’s family won a raffle to take part in a UNICEF-organized photoshoot featuring FC Barcelona players. Alright. Despite this backstory, the context of this picture remains baffling. For starters, among all possible activities between Messi and a random baby, why is he giving him a bath? It is so bizarre and awkward.

But then, coincidences start piling up, and things become even weirder. Here’s a quick summary.

  • Messi was born on June 24th – the day of St John the Baptist, the one who baptized Jesus Christ … like Messi was “baptizing” Yamal?
  • The picture was taken almost exactly 19 years ago, in 2007.
  • Yamin Yamal’s birthday is exactly 19 days after Messi’s, on July 13.
  • On this year’s birthday, Yamal turned 19 years old.

And finally …

Both players wore the number 19 while playing for FC Barcelona.

In this context, some interpreted the bathing picture above as less of a coincidence and more of a case of Yamal being groomed for success. This might sound crazy, but it is exactly the subject of the movie HIM (read my article about it here), where a professional athlete is “chosen” since youth to become the next GOAT.

And there can only be one GOAT. And apparently, Messi’s reign as the current GOAT was over. And the 2026 World Cup was about him passing the torch to Yamal. And that is why he had to be at the finals. But not win them.

Again, this might sound crazy. But the following video shot prior to the final game indicated that something was off with the Argentinian team.

Instead of being incredibly pumped to participate in the World Cup finals, the players seemed sad and distraught… as if they had been told they had to lose. And Messi is telling them to “forget about it” and just play. And, like, get it over with.

And Argentina played. Well, kind of. They had zero shots on goal the entire game. Zero.

Messi’s probable last game at the World Cup ended with utter failure. Was it scripted?

Even before the game, Messi was practicing… to lose.

So it happened. Argentina lost. And the players were very frustrated. In one symbolic video, Yamal is seen praying on the pitch while players were fighting around him.

During the trophy ceremony, all decorum and sportsman-like conduct was out the window.

After receiving their silver medals, Argentinian players faced their supporters instead of facing the stage where Spanish players were receiving their gold medals and trophy. Were the players trying to say something with this gesture that was described as “classless” by some people?

In any case, those are the net results:

1. Messi had a humiliating moment that kept going in the days that followed.

A strange, humiliation ritual-style headline following Messi’s loss.

2. The Argentinian team became universally hated

Argentinians were also called racists and other adjectives on social media by several people, including celebrities.

3. Yamal was crowned the new GOAT.

After doing the “wearing the crown” celebration for years, Yamal finally wore a “real” crown while celebrating his team’s victory.

In Conclusion

Right from its opening ceremony, the FIFA World Cup clearly indicated that something ritualistic was about to occur during the event. And, as the competition progressed, conspiracy theories abounded regarding the symbolism surrounding the Cup and the refereeing that appeared to clearly favor some teams.

Rather than shutting them down, FIFA appeared to welcome them. It was as if they wanted people to know that this was not about sport, but about those behind the sport. It was about ritual drama involving specific characters reenacting a classic passing-of-the-torch ceremony.

Whether or not this entire thing was scripted years ago is highly debatable, and some parts of it are admittedly difficult to orchestrate. However, what matters to the elite is the big picture, and their main goal was accomplished: leaving people with the feeling that what truly influences the game (and world events in general) is not the players on the pitch, but the giant all-seeing eye that was revered before every game.
