Otter Eats Alligator!
And you thought otters were cute and cuddly…. Well it’s true they are cute, but trust me, having worked with otters for my TV appearances with animal ambassadors to promote wildlife conservation, I know from experience how fiesty and aggessive they can be.
A juvenile alligator in the Florida’s Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge learned this the hard way when a river otter attacked it from behind, ultimately killing and eating it.

Otters are pure carnivore, so this is no surprise if you know anything about them. Although they primarily feed on smaller prey such as fish, frogs and crayfish, they are pretty opportunisitc and will feed on muskrats, birds, eggs, snakes and yes, juvenile alligators.
